I was surprise this hasnt popped up as a conversation on the board.

It was interesting watching Zacks reaction to Elliots statement he was proud that he waited till he meets the right girl. I for one thought this was a very positive statement in light of the pressure many young people face today - and also the fact that the Hollyoaks bunch are a fickle lot who will drop the pants on the first offer.

It may be a small nugget in a sea of debauchery - but Hollyoaks finally showed that it could be sensitive rather than horny.

Why does that make any difference? Elliot is a student and his "geeky" persona should not come into wether or not he is as promiscuous as the stereotypical student. it is sending out all the right signals to those of us who hav yet to loose it. Esepcially under todays society where pier pressure can play a huge part in ones choice to loose theirs. Well done Hollyoaks i say.

dont get me wrong, am all for teaching peole about absteining till you find the right one. I think great for Hollyoaks for saying its ok and in todays society it really is needed.


but I have a lot of teenagers based on a charity group that i work with that say to me that its only boring types who can't normally get a girl who abstein. i believe that a bigger message would be if say someone who wasnt as shy as Elliot, some one who was comfortable with the whole situation decided actually you know what am not going to sleep around.

just think the message would have been stronger for those who the message is trying to reach.

But agree with you whole heartedly when you say that the story line in it self is great learning point about choice

I think Elliot will find a girlfriend soon.

yeah you're right...and that's what makes elliot so interesting and unique.

If Elliot arrived at Uni still a virgin, and bearing in imind that he is a geek as well, I think quite a few girls would be very keen to be the one who 'took his cherry'. Some guys, who may be late-starters, lie about it and make out they've been having regular hanky-panky since the sixth-form, but someone like Elliot who is honest about it might end up having some girls on his course competing with each other to be the one who gets it on with him first!

This is very ironic because it means the geekiest guy with zero experience ends up bedding one of the hottest girls in the college - and he has his pick of which hot girl to have - and the more cool, experienced, guys who have been trying to bed some of these girls for ages, can only watch with jealousy!

What I find remarkable is that anyone would want to sleep with Zack! He must have gotten them seriously drunk.

What do people think about my last comment - about how some girls may want Elliot because they would want to be his first, how some girls may compete with each other for him, how his honesty is admirable, and about how the cool guys may be jealous (read above).
