Im not being horrible about Eastenders now but seriously how could a storyline about two people having an affair beat a storyline about anorexia and having someone die from it? First off, a storyline about two poeple having an affair isnt very imaginative, dramatic or helpful what so ever. I watched it and i didnt think it was that good. I enjoyed watching Hannah's anorexia more! Secondly, its been done before in soooo many soaps. Loads of people have affairs lol. Do you all get what im saying? Oh well, at least Emma won best actress and Hollyoaks won the most awards! Woo! Go Hollyoaks!

Also, i know that Hannah's Anorexia storyline has helped people with anorexia (look on youtube comments).
I didnt really think that Max and Stacey's affair was that thrilling and definatly wouldnt say it was the storyline of the year! Lol

I watch Eastenders & i'm kinda happy it won, i mean i wish Emma had won this because i'm a massive fan, but i did like the Eastenders stoyline. What other nominations were there?

I know what the hell?? that storyline made me cringe!! It dragged on for way too long! - JP/C should have won something

totally agree with this, it should have been the mcdean storyline or the anorexia story line

the steph and max storyline didnt come close, i watched both and to be honest am just confused how it could have beaten the HO storylines

It won because at Xmas EE got 15 millin veiwers for when the affair came about, which was acted brillianty by everone invloved, making it the highest rated TV programme this year. It go on, but Lacey , Charlie Jake, Jo, Lauren, Abi ect are all brilliants actors, the best in any soap, especailly Lacey and Jo.

HO won 6 awards, what more do you want? They can't win everything.

exactly oaks win six soaps and people on here still moan when they win i can understnd it.

and also this was the best storyline out of those nominated get over it

^^^ Exaclty, Xmas episode was bloody brillinat! The acting was outstanding,how Jake or Charlie didn't win best actor I don't know, but that's a different story.

Next year I think EE will win the most awards, this year it has been brilliant, and the acting from Jo, Lacey and June just keeps getting better and better.

I think the affair storyline wasnt very gripping - something that happens over and over again in soaps. Yes Lacey and Jake are good actors but Emma Rigby very much so overshone them through the anorexia storyline. I dont think christmas viewings should have been taken into account - if they were - because not all soaps are on on Xmas night! Im still happy they won 6 awards though but its like with the fire at the dog storyline - it gets cast aside for more mainstream soaps. I think that the people who decide these things should watch the whole storyline from beginning to end recorded because when you look at the overviews when they call out the nominations they never show anything dramatic when it comes to the storylines.

I used to watch eastenders all the time but i stopped when that storyline came on because i got bored with it

I know they cant and im happy HO have won 6 awards but its just confusing how that storyline won. What im saying is that it wasnt very imaginative. There are always storylines on any prgramme where two people have an affair and i just didnt think it was that special. However, Hannah's anorexia actually got onto the BBC News, and as well as imaginitive, emotional and creative its also very educational and helpful for young poeple. But i cant see how Max and Staceys affair will help people lol. I watched most of it but thought it was just one of those normal quite storylines. Didnt seem that important. And what have ratings got to do with it? So what if the episode got 15 million viewers, its whether the viewers actually enjoyed it enough to win best single episode but the judges obviously didnt think it was that great and nor did i as it didnt win best episode.

No but it one Best Storyline, the ratings have everything to do with it, because it showed how many people enjoyed, it got 14 million half way through, toards the end it got 15 million.

I think it was the acting that won EE that award, because the acting was outstanding.

I hate East Enders. Hollyoaks is MUCH better!

i used to watch EE but then i just got dead bored of it, i realised it's totally unrealistic and not very gripping. I see why the affair won though as EE have a bigger fan base and they all seemed to love it.

This is absolutely bonkers with Eastenders. How would Max and Stacey's Affair storyline have stolen Hannah's Anorexia Storyline award. Hannah's Anorexia has been a strongest issue for Hollyoaks and lots of people who have been suffering from the illness has received help by watching the soap.

Oh come on with Max and Stacey's Affair. I would say the Eastenders' storyline has been copying with Coronation Street's Kevin and Natalie's affair storyline and Max and Stacey's storyline is 100% pointless and boring as well.

EE isn't unrealstic, like all soaps it has it's OTT storylines, EE copying? you are joking, all soaps coy each-opther! Affairs, deaths, weddings ect. EE is just as gripping and as good as HO, execpt it has better actors and actresses in EE, then HO.

The reason i think anorexia story should have got it was because it was origonal, moving, amazingly acted, sramatic and it helped a lot of pepole to. But Stax affair was quite good.

You can't please everyone so someone was always going to complain. It's like on DS where people are moaning about results. I don't know why people can't just be happy for the ones who did win because im sure the actors are not as bothered as some of the fans are.
