Yeah, i get annoyed by it too! I don't think that seeing images causes people to have eating disorders, but it doesn't help. Roxanne has made it clear she's not on a strict diet or anything so i think she's fine. But i seriously don't think she looks ill. I ain't even seen the pictures in this article, i just think she's stunning from Hollyoaks & other pictures i've seen of her =] The only size 0 i've tried on is in Berkshka.

wasnt that a bit harsh? havent you learnt anything from hannahs story? its not about vanity and it really wansnt fair for you to put some one who may have an eating disorder down by compearing then to some one starving in the world. and why would it have anything to do with boys? sorry if i sound bitchy but what you put offended me. but on the other matter-there is nothing wrong woth being a natral size zero and roxanne looks fab ***18TH in 4weeks ***

It's worrying that the actress who won Sexiest Female at the soap awards is a size zero.
What message does that send out to Hollyoaks fans?

But i honestly believe Roxanne is like that naturally it's possible because i am. Why should she be penalized because she is naturally slim :S

And excuse me, i already know about eating disoders, my best friends was anorexic, well she's had a relapse so is anorexic again. So i find that comment patronizing. Not every girl who is slim has an eating disorder y'know.

Because normally people who don't eat have NO fat on them, Well I get called anoraxic and too skinny and people say I need to eat, but I do!! Whenever theres food in our house I eat when ever I feel like it! I am proud of my body though, I would wish it any other way!

mmm if thats her measurements then i don't understand how she could be a size zero im 5ft and have a 23 inch waist (24 after ive eaten) but im a size 6 on the bottom and a size 8-10 on top

Remember size 0 is a UK size 4. I can't see how she can find clothes to fit if she's size 4 yet tall at 5 foot 7. I know plenty people round about that size, but they are all petite, as in 5 foot 2 or below. Some people are just very slight. I think she looks great though, but can't really see how she can be that size as her stated measurements don't add up to that. However, we don't see her without make up on - health will show through the skin so you never know.

She is skinny and alot of people can see it. She said on I think morning that the wardrobe have to make her look bigger. She used to be "fuller" when she first came on and now she looks ill. Me and ym friend noticed it a few weeks back how you can sometimes see ribs and stuff.
If shes a natural size 0 how come she was much fuller an bigger when she first came onto the screens? How come her head is much bigger than her body? Not in a nasty way but it's not proportionate..same with a reaallly fat person the head will be seriously small.
If she's happy being a size 0 thats fine, but I don't get why everyone's saying omg she has an amazing figure...isn't this what the media have drilled into young girls' heads? size 0 is sexy?

It's amazing how times and perceptions have changed. There used to be no such thing as size 0 (4). Shops didnt stock anything below a size 8 and anyone smaller had to resort to children's clothes. When I was young it was the aim to be a size 10.

That is what I'm talking about!! It is not natural to be THAT skinny to have a body of a child when you're in your twenties. It's either down to lack of a good diet or over exercise.

Good point - Hollyoaks spends a year educating people about eating disorders and how they can kill, then it is happy to accept a "sexiest female" award for an actress who claims to be size zero. So this award devalues last year's storyline.

I have also thought for months now that Sarah Barnes' character is not setting the greatest example for impressionable teens. She is very slim (I don't like to say thin or skinny as I know it's not the way those who are slim particularly like to be described) and although she looks great her character is a) a model (photographic model and yet she has a very visible scar on her upper lip) and b)she entered the programme as a very fit, athletic girl who was a championship swimmer. Now, she never exercises at all and is a lot slimmer. What sort of message is that giving out? Although granted the swimming training storyline did have a message of its own.

I think you are seriously over reacting! She's not anorexic. Ive heard Roxanne saying in various interviews that she doesnt starve herself and she does eat. I myself am a size zero, not through starving myself or anything either, i just am, its the way im made, and i too was slightly "fuller" as another poster put it, a few years ago, but when i started working and wasnt sitting on my backside all day like i was when i was at school and college, i lost weight. i didnt eat any less or excersize anymore. It just happened. LEAVE HER ALONE!She's not devaluing any storylines jus by being who she is. SHE'S STUNNING Im proud to be what i am. and i am sick of people constantly thinking that anyone below a size 10 is automatically starving themself!

Yeah but - Roxy doesn't even look like a size zero. She just doesn't look that small!
|

How can you say it's unnautural to be that size!? I am! I'm 5"6 and can fit into size 0/4 but i'm not ill. I think she's fine, and how can you say she's putting a bad message out to girls? when she's said many a times that she just eats healthly.

Then again folks, 40 years ago a size 12 was a 24 inch waist.

ilovefashion - if that's really the case then you are severely underweight. Ask any doctor. I don't believe that Roxanne is a size 0 any more than I believe Gemma Bissix is a size 10.
