Justin met Katy at the bus station and started chatting. He then suddenly said 'where's the bracelet?. It so reminded me of when Butch (played by Bruce Willis) in Pulp Fiction said to his girlfriend 'where's my watch?'. This, and the Pulp Fiction scene, both had the same build-up with Justin and Butch both having discreetly disappeared with a view to making a new life for themselves and their partner somewhere else.
Both would be 'for it' if they were caught up with by the people they were running from, and both were now having to go back and get that thing (the watch or bracelet) from the flat they've left and are now in great danger if they return. We all know that Butch returned to his place, ran into Vince (John Travolta) and machine-gunned him down. Shame Justin wouldn't do the same to Warren as it would get rid of him!! Hehe. I was so reminded of that Pulp Fiction scene when watching the show tonight.
Lol... The two scenes were so similar that I'm certain the Hollyoaks scene was inspired by the Pulp Fiction scene. Although when Bruce Willis (Butch) discovered his girlfriend had forgotten the watch and that he would have to go back to the apartment and get it, he freaked out and threw the TV across the motel room. Justin, of course, just meekly said he'd go and get the bracelet, but as both of them were going back you got a feeling that there was danger when they got there, and of course there was for both of them. Butch runs into Vince who's been sent to bump him off, but Butch ends up bumping HIM off; Justin skulks back to the flat and has to hide while Warren and Mercedes are engaging in a bit of horizontal jogging on the sofa. Both very similar really. And both then get away.
Katy is a bit of a scatterbrain. I also remember her high pitch scream of 'Juustiiiiin' when he got run over. So high pitch I'm surprised surrounding windows didn't shatter.
