I think I'll be spending today in here...the rest of HO and McDean world is fighting and it totally sucks!! All I want to do is carry on loving the most perfect couple in the world and I will vote no to the priest because of that...sorry if that annoys people here, I just sick of being told that its over and I need to get over it

I'm with you hun!!! I've voted no as well - and will carry on doing so because it's what I believe in!! A few individuals can't tell us 'it's over' - why then do people spend hours, years studying literature and film, when even those authors / actors are long gone???? Because the stories have a certain magical, inspirational and compelling quality about them that's why, and are incredibly well executed. Should we forget everything that's ever grabbed our attention as soon as it disappears from right in front of us?? Of course not!! What is wrong with recalling happy memories and expressing views on how we would like a story to pan out??!! As long as McDean lives in our hearts, it stays alive. And if we want to analyse it, re-watch from different povs etc, and just basically enjoy it all over again, then that's up to us really! What harm are we doing??!!! So ignore the calls for 'getting over it' - I do!! I am happy here in McDean-world .

Why do people care if we still love McDean?? Are we doing anyone any harm? I find that so strange, I wouldn't even go into threads I wasn't interested in! Oh well...if it makes them happy...and by making that club it simply spreads the name of McDean

I agree with iscreamloud, why should other people be bothered by us loving McDean!

While I think the mass voting on the IS poll is absolutely ridiculous (and I said as much to the people doing it on the GBF forum last night so I won't bother repeating myself), the rest of what you say I completely agree with! McDean touched people's hearts and minds. It's that rare kind of story that has the power to stay with you long after it's over, so why should anyone be forced to forget it just because it's not onscreen anymore? I loved McDean, I still love it, and I will go on loving it and that will remain true whether it ultimately stays as the bittersweet story of lost love that it currently is, or if there's a part 2 with a happy ending!
