The 'what about Craig' thought has occurred to many of us McDeaners Hannah - you are not alone!

The way I see it, JP has turned down what he feared would become a 'secret' relationship with Craig, for a....er....'secret' relationship with a priest. And seemingly without a thought to the whole secrecy aspect of McPriest either.

JP just seems rather 'spellbound' by this priest atm - not questioning the priest's integrity and decision to kiss a teenager only about 2 weeks after declaring the importance of his priestly vows.

That just does not sound like JP to me at all. I know he's down-hearted atm and has not made many new friends, but I just can't see JP behaving like this.

I think McPriest has just been set up so that Niall has something to 'discover' about JP and thereby ruin the Myra - JP bond. There has been no real build-up to the affair, the priest has no back-story and just implausibly 'appeared' as the McQueen's house guest... oh and the writing has been poor.

I can't believe that after winning so much praise for its ground-breaking portrayal of McDean, HO decided to rush head-long into such a cliched storyline as McPriest.
