Was he popular before Craig became involved with JP?

LOL I Started to like him because he looked sooooo hot on the t4 interview when he left!

OMG I loved him in that interview I cant really answer this question cause I only really started watching HO because of the whole McDean thing - but I think he was liked - its just McDean brought him out into the spotlight.

Ive watched HO from the start, basically he was pretty underused, as were a few others like Ashley Taylor (Darren) I think he was a character people liked but he was never at the forefront of any major storylines so im guessing he wasnt so loved as he is now, I personally always liked him but he did fly under the radar a bit. (Took me to McDean to realise just how hot the man is!)

Craig was always an interesting character though, he was kind of a lonely misfit and I think his character was sympathised with when he actually got the screen time. Mostly he kind of just got comedic storylines though.

i dont think he was that popular before the craig/jp storyline

I never really liked him before the JP thing, it wasn't until then that he actually stood out.

But i have images of older characters and with Craig i remember his longish hair and a limo i don't know why lol

I think people enjoyed the character with the limited material he got, in the same way as Darren or Michaela - he always had a great comedic touch and the chemistry between Guy and all his on-screen family, including Jimmy and ATD was fab. But he had some very touching moments, for example the story about Craig's feelings about his Dad and his relationship with Darlene. Old Craig scenes are well worth watching.

GUY was underutilised as a character before BK

but he was hilarious so i liked him from then.

the whole limosine and other money making tricks had me in stiches.

Didnt he try and teach justin french for money i remember that episode

and when he played camply gay to put of Darrens girl friend when he slept with Darlene

Actually, I was thinking about this the other day.

Before McDean, he was kind of a loner at school, really unsuccessful with girls and kind of (yes, I'm gonna say it..) ugly.

But then along came John Paul, and Craig got a best buddy, a model girlfriend and looks that could stop the world from spinning (I think it was the hair cut, those near-shoulder-length locks were not a good look)

As said above; he was usually there for comedy story lines. Although I did kind of fall in love with him when all that stuff about his dad came out.

He really did grow as a character though. It was lovely to see him get what he's always craved - good friends and a loving girlfriend.. Obviously until he started falling his mate and things got messy.

I do miss him!
