I don't think the Americans will be able to understand the way some of the cast speak ie: Gilly and Amy.

I didn't know about that - but they're also going to be showing "HO - in the city" on BBC america. I found this out, when, looking for some info on it on IMDB, I just typed in "In the city" rather than its full title.

they will so not get hollyaoks that well far to english and they will hate kris and jhon pauple for being bi and gay they hate people like that people over here love them asfore them they will hate them awww i feel sorry for them lol

Absolutely not true. We have gay and bi characters on telly too. In fact the favorite character on a new show called Brothers & Sisters is the gay brother. Anyhow, it's cool that Hollyoaks will now be broadcast in the States.

Er.....some people are born again Christians here and don't like gay people. Some people are fine with them. Just like some people in Britain don't like gay people and some people are fine with them.

that's a avery big generalisation, not all people are that small minded..shows such as The OC have plots/storylines involving gay/lesbian relationships.

I don't know how America will come with the Northern accents (even though there arnt that many compared to Southern or more general accents).
