I disagree Jay is in love with Becca but not entirely sure how Becca really feels about Jay.

Imo I think that Becca loves J, because if you look at her actions, the way she's put everything at risk it's not in her character to do that unless she loved him. Because from where I'm standing Becca seem(ed) to be more of a sensible character who wants to feel secure rather than just doing something for the thrill of things. Also you can see that their relationship has developed over a long time, she didn't just jump into bed with him the moment she met him.

I'm not going to say no. It's possible that they love each other. Lots of people (talking real life for a second here) are in relationships that are different from mine, and different from what I think signifies 'love' but who am I to say? Those people might think the same thing about my marriage. It's different things to different people, I guess. So maybe they do really love each other, maybe not. Even when people do love each other, it's no guarantee of longevity.

all i know is that i thought i was in love with about 4 people who i wasnt. it wasnt until i met my (almost)husband(two months to go) till i released the true meaning and the true feeling of love. so maybe justin thinks he is but isnt, maybe he is. who knows coz lets face it, after all.... he is a fictional character

I think Becca is in love with an ideal, she loved the the fact an attractive young lad worships the ground she walks on and she loved the excitement of having her dirty little secret. It helped her escape from a marriage that was stifling her and one she was starting to have second thoughts about.

When she found out she was pregnant and the affair was on the verge of coming out she had to face up to reality - it wasn't ever going to work out with Jason and she tried to put a stop to her sick little game.

I think they are in love Becca was tryin to do the best for Justin by ending it and that proved it for me!! and what proved that Justin loved Becca was in last wednesdays (c4) episode when he took Becca to the hospital he was so caring and sweet to her, then telling her that she would be fine with her husband and baby!! i think that episode proved Justins love was for real!! and Beccas had proved before I honestly think she ended it because she loved him!!! I don't doubt Becca's feelings entirely. The one thing that makes me question her is the fact that everyone talks about what becca was prepared to risk for Justin. True, but if she really loved him unconditionally, why wasn't she prepared to SACRIFICE things for him? When the chips were down, she didn't want to sacrifice her marriage, her career and her life. Things only turned out this way because people found out. All Becca's choices were ripped away from her when she finally had the strength to make them. We'll find out when Justin and Becca have to live a real life together rather than living a secret. It's easy to "love" someone when you only get the best of them, the real test is loving for all their imperfections too. Becca's not too good when it comes to dealing with reality, is she?

Although CazzieB, I agree that that bit in the hospital was sweet, it proved it for me.

I agree, but Becca after finding about the baby chose Jake coz he would give security to herand the baby.
I think if J/Becca do end up and living together, i think the resentment will slowly creep in, remember what Tony said to J about it

I think the real point is are the others going to let Becca and Justin live quietly together.
After all Jake will still have family in the area and mates. Becca has some bridges to rebuild again with Nancy. Then there will be the media spotlight or have some people forgotten about Harry Fox the reporter. This sort of story would be right up his street and sold on to national news papers.
Then there are all the finacial and legal implications for Becca as well since cannot afford the mortgage now on the flat as sh hasn't got a job and it will almost certain be a while before enough people forget in the area for her to find work again because she will be in the news. Then there is the fact if she is found guilty, Social Services may take the child away from her when it's born as she will be a registered sex offender. Even if the don't they will check up on her as well as her getting regular police visits.

To me Justin side tracked Becca, and that Becca fell into the same trap Jake did when he had his affair. It became a bit of excitement to Becca and an escape from the realities of marriage. What makes her affair worse is simply not because she knew the hurt it would cause and ignored it but the whole raft of other issues she has to deal with now.

At the moment she is in the self pity stage. Give it a few weeks when everything hits home. She starts getting demands for unpaid bills. Having the whole neighbourhood against her. And her being the focus of the press, then she might just turn on Justin as she has lost everything while he has lost nothing.

As for Justin he is blind to all of this and thinks thing will eventually work out between them. That is very immature and he is going to be in for a big shock. Not only that he believes Becca is carrying his child. How will he feel if Jake is the father. I cannot see Jake abandon his child and not want access if he is the father. At the moment Justin is still a mummy's boy. He might have some inkling of finance after he offered to quit school to help pay the mortgage on his home, but he forgot Liz also had a job and at least Sophie would contibute to help paying her way, even if Mel was using her money for drink. He will not have that luxury since Becca will not be able to work in the area for a very long time. He will be the sole bread winner, that providing he can get a job himself.

oh yeah guess we'll be seein that bloody awful journalist again over the next comin weeks....forgot about him no doubt Nicole will have her say to him!!!

Nicole's hardly likely to go blabbing to the press after what they did to her family after Sam...
