I was surprised to see lots of people thought it wasn't deserves but i guess most did because it was voted by the public.
Chris is consistently amazing and think hes been great in all his storylines this year.

I don't think he is necessarily the best actor on HO; but he is very good. Some of the slating that he's been getting is a little uncalled for. Last year was not his most prolific, but he has still managed to reduce me to tears on numerous occasions - more so than probably any other actor. So, well done!

What's all this about him being the best actr out of ALL the other actors in soaps? Lets not forget there was only 3 nominations per soap. The DOI will have helped him get more votes but he's still an amazing actor and deserved it

it was a tragedy! guy burnett or james sutton sooooooo deserved to win, chris is good lookin and a good actor but guy and james have done so much good work last year on there brilliant storyline and really acted it so well they deserved an award...chris had his major storyline the year before and did it well but it was guy and james' turn this year...a much better story than chris, guy and james' could have been so streotypical but it wasnt and chris' sooo was! tragedy....anyways, chris spent most of the yr on that skating show...he won coz little girls like the way he looks and wanted him to win a little prize for it, not his acting ability, even though he is a good actor, i know that but the majority of people with good judgment would have voted for james or guy while more little girls have lots of credit for there mobiles and decided to keep voted for the very good lookin one!
Hope for everything, expect nothing...

Lmao! So you didn't want Guy or James to win then because you fancy them? or think they are good looking. Face it, Chris is a better actor, Guy wasn't even up for Best Actor and James didn't even make the final 4!

you mustnt have been watchin properly because james WAS in the last four nominated! And i never said i didnt think they were good lookin, the are. but they have the best acting ability aswell as being good looking, chris is a good actor but not deserving of the award this year...that was my point, all good looking actor, that besuse it is hollyoaks wer talking about but guy and james had the acting to back it up...silly little girls voting coz they love his skating and good looks....did they evern watch hollyoaks i wonder, if they did they would have realsied he did about three weeks of cting last year, buring sean body while sniffeling and crying...boo-hoo!

I've always thought Chris was one of the best actors on HO, like someone else said, he's consistently excellent. He's in another league to JP/Craig in my opinion...

So if Guy or James wo Best Actor, does that mean silly little girls voted for them because they fancy them? Guy and James are so wooden, not very good actors at all. Chris is so much better, so is Kevin, Andrew and Nick

i hope Andrew Moss wins it next year after the storyline of rhys and beth as he acted that really well but when is he coming back on to our screens?

i was so happy when he won and emma winning best actress as well. they deserved to win but i was still quite shocked, i thought they would of went to one of the other soaps like eastenders or corrie. i actually never thought hollyoaks were gonna win all the awards they did but i am very pleased they did, at least its getting more noticed now like it deservs to.

i agree fiona, even though i was hoping james or guy could have won, i too think andrew is excellent lately. i read in an interview that he himself loved the anorexia storyline and that he was proud of his acting in that storyline but i personaly think his acting was suprisingly good in the "when he found out neville was his real father" storyline, thats when i first realised he was really good...
