gotta be one of the gta games no doubt about it; Vice City completely blew me away when it first came out. I was so excited about it,it came out in like october so i had to wait to christmas; and i was never off it.It was so different than GTA III.The soundtrack on GTA III was rubbish; the soundtrack on VC was class. COME ON - Michael Jackson,Blondie - WE LOVE IT But its gotta be San Andreas; Now that special.I got it when it first came out and when i put it on i was like - er this guy aint movin. Because you have to use the analog sticks for SA(at that time i used the buttons). And my right analog stick was faulty. Took my brothers and i finally got started - i was like .... this is class. And i love the soundtrack - Lynyrd Skynyrd,Stone Roses, K-DST is a class station. CLASSIC ROCK So GTA SA just pips it

A lot of people would say Zelda Ocarina of Time or ICO or even Beyond Good and Evil.
Personally I like the First Halo game a lot.
There's a lot to be said for the old skool stuff like Pacman or Space Invaders as well.
I also rather like the simple purity of Minestorm on the Vectrex which I personally find more fun that either Geometry Wars or Asteroids.
I'd say it's not a Survival Horror Game,a Beat 'em Up or a Sports Game, or a Driving Game though.
I do have a fondness for Streets of Rage 2 and for Sonic CD (the Mega CD version).

Smacks forehead - I forgot about Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World - both are just as much fun now as they were back in the day.

It has to be ff vii for me the characters are just so engaging. Both the protagonist and antogonist have intersting pasts.

so, im trailing through this forum, hoping to find someone who put the real game, only one, jellybelle was the only person who knows!
WoW rules all games EVER, the most innovative, awe inspiring MMORPG ever made, combining all games genre, i mean you got driving (mounts) fighting (pvp) flight combat (flying mounts) exploring (seen the map?) etc... not just that its the most in depth world, and deeply intrictae, involved fantasy ever created, i'm afraid the likes of fifa 2007, golden eye (which is good...) and donkey kong land cant compete with it, although great in their own rights, these are games that defined their genre, these are in no way the greatest games of all time! its like saying the beatles are technically better then Tool, or Opeth or even a mainstream band like the killers, you make like them more, but when it comes down it, bands today piss all over them for technical ability, which comes to the point of WoW, it is far superior then any game ever created, its sooo massive, intricate and involved, every last detail, from the Auction House, to PVP combat is totally intertwinned, i have to say that although i love playing tetris on my phone, and would chuck it into my top 10, the top has to be World Of Warcraft, disagree? POST :P
btw my most shameful favourite game hs to be pikmen... i'm sorry, those damned pikmen need saving!!! i can't leave them there!

I'll nominate 3... Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator Falcon 4 Operation Flashpoint All three are classics. However Operation Flashpoint takes first person shooting to another level by creating an almost complete war simulation, there’s no game play gimmicks just total brilliance on the part of the programmers. If on foot you come across an enemy tank you really are for it unless you find cover sharpish. Capturing an enemy held village, only to end up fleeing up a hill or into the woods to avoid the counter attack has never been so riveting. Or placing charges on a road when you know a Russian convoy is approaching, finding concealment at a safe distance and then timing the explosions perfectly to hit the first and last vehicle trapping the others in-between to allow your squad to rout the enemy in your self created killing zone. No other game comes close for me!

Hmmm, 1. Command & Conquer - zero hour (pc) 2. Sensible Soccer (amiga) 3. Project Gotham 3 (xbox360) 4. Boulderdash (c64) 5. Speedball 2 (amiga)
I've spent far to much time playing these games!

Lost vikings did indeed kick ass and donkey kong country is a classic but in my opinion Zelda, A link to the past just edges out s.Mario world. Did any one play Flashback on the SNES Has anyone read Chicken licken lately

No,but i have it for the Megadrive.Flashback was a groundbreaking game in my opinion with fantastic graphics. My favourite game of all time would still have to be 'Resident Evil 2' on the original Playstation.

Agreed all superb. Have you tried any of the IL2 series of flight sims? They easily trump the MS versions. Op Flash is brilliant and the multiplayer was the final word in realism.

Nah I've never tried the IL2 games, I might have a go if they are good though! My original Op Flash game wouldn't install on my PC now as I'm using XP... the most up-to-date version of windows that it will work on is ME or 2000 so I bought a new version of the game yesterday as it's supposed to work on XP but it won't install without crashing! Grr
