Hi i got a xbox 360 this Saturday and i was playing gears of war 2 days later i was going on gears of war when a black screen came up saying my disk cannot be read and i took a look at the disk and it had scratched going around the disk so i took it back because it was breaking my games went home a couple of days later it doing the same thing!Can someone help me or tell me how this is caused?

the same thing happened to me but after i payed £86 to get it fixed because i had the three ring of death. i tried putting the 360 on the side and not standing up, it worked for me.

Why did you pay that to have it fixed my sons xbox had the 3 rings thing and I sent it back and got it fixed for free

Always put xbox flat side down!! Also, if you send it to Microsoft to get it fixed, they give you it back with membership! =]

i have a friend this is happening to at the moment and he has had to buy 3 copies of Fifa as they all got scratched. Its a problem with the machine, it doesn't matter which way you put the 360 it will keep scratching. you need to send it back to microsoft. they need to replace the entire machine, sorry i know its a pain, but it will wreck more discs. My mate also got sent 3 free games for Xbox to say sorry for the other wrecked games
