2006 is the year of the first Video Game Baftas, which will be shown on E4 on 17 October.

If you were to be left on a desert island (with power supply, a PC and a few consoles of course) which three games would you chose to take with you? Tell us and the best comments may appear on the show.

All the Infocom text adventures - Zork, Beyond Zork, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, Leather Goddessses of Phobos, Planetfall, etc.

My favourite being The Lurking Horror.

But you probably don't want anyone recommending text adventures and the genre's dead now.

Do you remember Leather Goddessses of Phobos by Infocom?

That was back in the days when I could get excited about new games, new game ideas, etc.

Here's the latest game releases for sale -

Nothing, nothing at all, to get excited about.

There's nothing except mainstream stuff nowadays.

Yeah, I think I have it. A few years ago my cousin was having a clearout when he was moving into his 1st house, and he gave me several carrier bags full of Amiga games. I'm sure it's in that lot! Big Grin

If you are into IF games then all the Amiga infocom titles are freely downloadable (legally). The guys at Infocom also wrote a game in 1997 called Zork: The Undiscovered Underground which they gave to the gaming community as a thanks.

Here's a screenshot:
