what is everyones all time fave game? and why?
mine has got to be a old pinball game on the sega mega drive........DRAGONS FURY it was really hard to do, with fantastic music to
they first released this on the turbografx called alien crush.
the sega also has my second fave game,,, sonic
dont need to rant on about sonic hes just a legend!

You sound like a guy I work with. He's a console collector too. I think he has every one ever released in the UK (at least), his fave is the Nintendo Virtual Boy but he admits it's practically unplayable. Lol.

must confess i have no knowledge of spectrum or atari!!!! wow im going to retro hell lol

oh floppy i love pc games but i always find they crash on my laptop and my pc!!!!!
its so irritating!
do u ever play online games?
like runescape (so fun) or everquest (bloody high graphics!!)tends to be toooo slow

I think by FFVI Cloud means Final Fantasy 6. Never played any of 'em myself tho.

Don't worry about knowing nothing of Atari/Spectrum. But just to fill you in, Atari is the grand-daddy of video-gaming and the Spectrum (or 'Speccy' to its mates) is the most successful home computer/games machine ever...it's shelf life was over 10 years (1982-92/3).

The trouble with PC games is that some only work with certain versions of Windows. This is really frustrating cos shops are still selling old games that aren't compatible even with XP (ie Black & White). Then you get new games that won't run on older machines. Then comes Vista to upset the apple-cart some more. Best to check carefully the back of each game box before you buy. (ie, Windows version, processor, system ram, graphics card ram)

Although I've not used my laptop too much for gaming, and those I've played on it have been ok I wouldn't recommend them for games. A lot of modern games need a 3d card and if your lappy ain't got one it'll really kick up a stink.

I admit I don't play online (games) at all. I try to limit my playing time so I can do other things which means a deep and meaningful adventurey-type game that requires a lot of dedication and man-hours is a no-no. I have thought of giving some a whirl but I wouldn't be able to put the time in and would seem such a waste. So you can deduce I'm a pick-up-and-play kinda guy who likes a quickie. Lol.

i love this game i dunno why but i loved building up total confidence with the villagers and the suddenly killing the lot ha ha or making them worship me all day n night ha ha ha ha

i think i love my ds the most. i just kkep buying and like you im a quicky sort of gal but one game i did play quite alot was yoshi touch n go and a few mario ones.
i will admit i found nintendogs was fun but it does not interest me now i just liked the talking commands and bubbles you can blow
i really dont have much time for these games and consoles either but
when im in the mood

Well I wont list all my fav retro games, but my ultimate favourite is Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

Pure awseomness, its not suprising it got a 10 at nearly every gaming site!

I loved that game when I was young and will always have memories of it, like playing it last week again, the master quest.

I doubt another Zelda game will match to it.

You can't beat Skool Daze for the ZX Spectrum. Beating up the small kids, writing on the blackboard, firing your catapult at the teachers then running away quickly so the school swot gets the blame... classic.

my fave retro games are monkey island ,dune ,mission impossible ,boulder dash,albion all on amiga 500

The first game I played was Harrier Attack on an Amstrad CPC464. I was rubbish at it though!

I love 'Mickey Mouse's castle of Illusion' on Mega Drive, the music is top notch which makes it my fave. retro game, not only that it's hard too and the mysteriousness of the whole concept is enthralling.

i loved ecco the dolphin on mega drive ooh and also road rash 2.

Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine on the Mega Drive. It was like Tetris but had a competitve element.
