No worries mate, I'll think of ya as a noob. (According to Wikipedia Vectrex arrived 1982)
My 1st video gaming (or TV gaming as it was known then as 'video' was unheard of) was with my Grandstand console. No interchangable games as they were all built in. It was Xmas 1979 (it was the same year I got my 1980 Superman Annual) and she still works like a dream. She called it 'tennis', but these days we call it 'Pong'.
Old geeks don't die, we just incur a fatal exception!

That was pretty much it tho the BBC computer might have been out then? After that it was a Spectrum 16k then 48k, Commodore 64, Spectrum 128k then the Amiga. After that the games console was born (Sega Megadrive!!)

Crikey it was nearly 30 years ago - I can't remember - though I do remember playing SpyHunter and Looping at an Arcade in Southend when I was younger.
My first consoles were Colecovision and Vectrex so I spent a lot of time playing Donkey Kong, Smurf, Donkey Kong Jnr, Scramble, Cosmic Avenger, Minestorm, Cosmic Casum, Mousetrap, Lady Bug,
as well as that my friend had a VCS 2600 and we used to spend a lot of time playing That tank Game and Space Invaders as well.
Personally though the games I've put the most number of hours into is Project Gotham Racing One & Two - by trying to complete them without cheating.... still no where near it though.
