2.4 children families, parents in good jobs, cars, family home. Children have sattelite tv, phone, dvd player, stereo and everything their heart asks for in their bedrooms.Parents come home from work, tired, eat a meal and then want "time-out" after a hard day to unwind usually with as little interuption and conversation as possible.
Then a few years down the line and they suddenly notice that their child is becoming unruly and not "towing the line".The parent is "genuinely" at a loss when the child takes no notice of their attempt to exert authority or "talk" to them about their behaviour, which they do not understand why their offsping acts out like they do after all they have the best of what money can buy them !!!!!
So as a last resort they contact a team of strangers to help them rectify their situation at home and make the house a bearable place to live in again.
maybe if they had taken time out to spend just a short time asking their kid how their day had been, or giving them some quality time when home from work, the home situation would not have gotten out of hand, they would have noticed when things started getting wobbly with their kid and nipped it in the bud then.After all aren't 90% of these cases down to the child craving parental attention? and realising this only comes to them when the act out?
I get sickened when these normal, healthy, non medical issues kids are taking up places that kids who really do need help could use on these camps, just because their parents were too uninterested or not assed until too late.
