I've only ever watched 3 episodes of Brat Camp in my life, but the formula is that predictible that I'm gonna go nostradamus on your ass and tell you what happens in the next series.
1. The first episode will be a montage type affair, of which the f word will be used atleast 4,000 times.
2. Que the crying parents "we just can't cope anymore, please help us channel 4 as you are such an expert on parenting"
3. Here comes the stereotyping, it reads like a teen movie this one, every series the same characters! They are - The Stoner - The Truent - The Runaway - The Violent One - The Spoilt Brat
4. Airport sequence, the Brats leave in a whirlwind of tears, abuse and swearing, lord knows why (!) it's not like their parents have signed over guardianship to someone they've never met or anything.
5. We meet the staff and see the camp, and it's all good, it all makes perfect sense smashing these lumps of clay into what we see as acceptable...they really should look into the backgrounds of these people, I want to know if these guys are qualified to look after children or just 70's hippy throwbacks on the run from their 3rd wife.
6. It get bad before it gets better. The 'Brat's' behaviour reaches an all time low, all seems lost, could it be that it is impossible to break their fragile individualism...I think not
7. The Brats start to behave, accepting the fact that the only way out is through cooperation...doesn't it just warm the cockles of your heart
8. Steady improvement continues until their release date, with the labotomy scars still fresh and druel pouring from their gapping mouths the paroleys thank all the staff and say how they have grown as people
9. Couple all this with editing that looks like it's been cut up by freddie kruger and you have a winning documentary series! Well done channel 4 you have really surpassed yourselves as a beacon for documentary film
