I just want to say that I am so moved by this girl's character. Just thinking about her and her attitude as she came out during the programme was amazing. A couple of days ago I watched the re-run of that season. I don't know if Lauren was from the first season, but it's been a while since the original programme aired her in NORWAY. And even though I watched it back then, I still had to cry watching Lauren reunit with her mum. Lauren was so sincere during the whole camp-programme, and I'm so happy for her that she got this help, and could change her way of living. Lauren really got it, - she understood completely what it was all about. I wish all the other participants the same amount of commitment that Lauren brought to the camp, and I hope for everyone to get their lives put in order for their future.

I really hope that Lauren will be able to read this, and to know that her willingness to change has moved a lot of people, and hopefully has also made other "brats" change their behavior. You (Lauren) are a fantastic example and idol for youngsters.

Lots of love from a 37-year-old teacher from Norway. "Teacamilla"

Laureen was on the American version of Brat Camp. It was not produced by Twenty-Twenty as the UK-version, this board is about, but it doesn't matter.

In fact both the United States, Germany and the Netherlands have copied the concept. See wikipedia for more info:

Wikipedia entry

The gaoler on the german version working at the Summit Preparatory School in Montana. They are right now showing the second season filmed at Catherine Freer (The wilderness course with a lot of deaths.) where they among other things are trying to alter the political view of one of the participants.

The version done in the Netherlands was filmed in Kenya - Africa, which could seem like a risky business if you think about the political situation in this country, but I guess that they saw the children so badly that they did the serie based on the sentence: "If you want to make fried-eggs, you have to break the shell."

If you want to know her address contact secretprisonforteens.dk which is a watch page for abusive programs. They have her myspace address.
