U no what ive decided that all of the brats on brat camp arnet actually to blame because if you think about it the parents are just as shitty as the brats. The Kennys were on the brink of divorce if you all remember just because he was doing all of the work and amanda and her mum were doin fuk all.

What do you all think is it the parents that should get some blame for how their kids are???

The worst thing about the all the "Brat camp" series are that it have taken 4 seasons before it became clear to everyone that actually no one is to blame.

It is all about communication. It takes two to tango.

Of course there is drugs involved in some cases and that problem needs to be addressed in an isolated environment until the child is detoxed. But why not 100 miles from from home instead of a society with so orthodox values that made me think about a Koran school.

I have researched and know from American kids, that some of them have been forced to attend church service in another religious persuasion, than the persuasion they believe in.

Is it right trying to convert a child? No, is the answer most of us would say. But that is the reality at one of the camps used in the series.

If you also search a little on "Casa at the sea" and "England" you can find an article on a Halifax teenager attending a boarding school in Mexico because her behaviour did not suit the mother. But this school was shut down because the children was placed in dog cages.

Just imaging how huge a risk a parent can take, when it ships a child away abroad. Of course the child would behave afterwards out of sheer fear of being send back.

I know that one of the kids in serie two was sent back. I would like to know if that threat also is something the other kids in serie 1 and 3 faced.

There is some kind of personal responsibility in there too. For once, the parents could try to see what their children are doing in town. I know that my wife parents sometimes visited the discos, where children went.

A child can not really act out if a parent is looking. In the case mentioned the children went home and in bed because it was not fun with parents hanging out in the bar.

In Denmark it is legal for people 16 or older to buy alcohol, but still we have problems with children between 12 and 15 hanging in town. Why are their parents not in town also?

I would not let my child stay out after 9 p.m. when the child is 12. If such incident should occur you can be certain that I also would be in town putting the child under stress just with my presence.

The child needs to learn responsibility and the first one to learn them the lesson is their parents by showing them how to behave by their own actions and that they care for the child by being with the child.

You can not blame society for all. First of all, we all contribute to society. It is the sum of all our contributions that makes the society look like it does. So for a start try to blame what you see in the mirror.

I agree. I think that they should bring back the cane and discipline.

In todays society, you can't hit your child or say no to them, because you are afraid that they would turn on you.

The government enforces these rules but don't know what to do when it all goes wrong.

A teacher once told me that once upon a time, classes were more silent and respectable than now.

Even when they leave school, they don't have the social skill and manors to help them in the future.

Instead of sending them to Brat Camp, why not set up a national institution formally known as Finishing School to teach these kids how to behave in a Upper class environment. And also the parents. This can be an IDEA for a new Channel 4 programme.
