I have to agree with you euclidian the grammer is poor but you must remember that a lot of the people on here are quite young and it appears to be how many youngsters speak and write these days.

God help our country then! I swear it wasn't this bad when i was in school (around 10 years ago). Is this what it feels like to get old?
Hey! Yeah the grammar is pants in here! At least if you're going to type something up on the board type it so that everyone can actually read it?! I work at a secondary school and when I see the children writing in "text talk" as they put it I make them go back and change it all! Cruel but we've got to be able to read it! Brat Camp last night was fab by the way! C_P x

Actually I think you will find this is typical on a lot of forums popular with young people. I don't think it necessarily means that they don't know how to write grammatically, it is just that they frequently they use "text-speak" as a speedy shorthand when posting on the internet.
I usually find with a bit of effort that I can understand most of it but I agree that it would be nice for the writer to make the effort rather than the reader.
However, I believe it is not the done thing in many forums these days to criticise the writing style. If you read the guidelines for this forum you will find:
"Do be patient with other users. Even if someone posts in a way that annoys you (in “txt spk” for example), stay polite and light-hearted in any response. (In 10 years they might be your doctor, or member of parliament)"
Which is counterbalanced with:
"Do try to make your posts readable, excessive use of text speak can annoy other users and reduce the likelihood of getting a response."
So I guess a bit of understanding on all sides maybe.
