Haha. I thought that as well. Struggle to get 400 at their home games and took 6500 to Anfield....

I agree with you there. Probably quite a few of those 6500 walk around in Liverpool replica shirts normally.

Why will Liverpool being crying into their pints? Erm, have you spoke to any? Follow any of the live comments made from Liverpool fans on the larger forums? Listen to the comments made by Liverpool fans after the game? There were calls for Rafa to be given the boot at half time.. by Liverpool fans themselves.. They allowed a team to score past them not once, but twice, and hold them off for a decent amount of the game.

Generally, the feeling i got from the various comments made, they'd be crying into their pints with sheer embarrassment. You think Liverpool were good? Should be proud even? Really?

Judging by the way Liverpool fans tend to moan on the radio phone in shows, even when they're top of the league! I'd say they will be moaning into their pints.

Well done to H&W on not rolling over on 'their cup final' day. I expect many Liverpool fans will say that class won out in the end and the result was never really in doubt. That H&W shook them out of their complacency, is to their credit, though.

Sadly, from a neutral's point of view, all will be forgotten when Liverpool probably reach the final with Arsenal/Chelsea or Man U as their opposition.

Well I stuck up for you Roni. (as it were)
T'was the same for the 'Boro. Everyone wanted us to slip up against Mansfield. They gave us a few scares but we won through, and we aren't crying into our pints either.

thanks joe, you are a gem Valentine

one thing scouse supporters dont do is cry into their pints, they get more behind there team if anything, i would have thought with all the crisis going on at the liverpool recently that was obvious, hey ho not everyone likes every other team, however i would like to think they could respect them Hug Wink Smile

Calling for their manager to be sacked at half time isn't 'getting more behind the team'. The majority of the Liverpool crowd were livid. The cheers that had started the game had turned into angry shouts.. and if it was Man U instead of Liverpool, i'd have been pretty peed off too.. but then i wouldn't ignor the fact that a team six divisions below us had lead against us twice, and act as though it wasn't a big deal..

But then what do i know.. Wink

It's not so much that people want to see you lose, it's hoping that the 'underdogs', which make the FA Cup what it is, give you a decent enough fight.

And your game v Liverpools game isn't a fair comparison.

For stats sake, H&W were 100/1 to win before the game. I'll bet there were a few bookmakers getting a sweat on in the first half.

And finally - ADMIN --> What is with that internal error message?!? I've had to write 3 posts out all over again because of it and can only reply via the basic reply button at the bottom!! Angry

Join the club! (That's those of us who have been having problems with the Infernal Error message for a few weeks, and not Darlo or the 'Boro, although we could find a seat for you should you so wish)

Been getting the error message since last week.. usually right after typing out a long post.. to which i'd given up and closed the site, hoping for the problem to be sorted.. it worked earlier but not the past 3 times..

I'll stick with United.. they're doing alright at the minute... Wink

As a tip, and if you do a long post/reply, highlight, right click and copy, then if anything goes wrong you just need to paste in.

Is that The Park pub? I was in there before the Cardiff game. It wasn't the pub where a mob of Cardiff were lured into, only to have the doors locked behind them and a not very friendly bunch of scousers said "hello".

Very, very possibly. And I'll bet that the Havant ticket office had people in Liverpool tops queuing for tickets too

Yes it was the park pub, i have been in there several times now and it is nothing but fab footy banter, for me if you are gonna take it soo personally, best to stay away ...... its not fair to generalise on just one team, this sort of bantr happens accross all teams of all leagues Wink

My preference is the shop about 50 yards up the road where you get a fab all-day breakfast and also avoid the pan of scouse if you are lucky.

I do kind of agree with you there, but it's all about perceptions. I suppose, in truth, it's because there's more of them and they're more likely to get on the shows.

But I will admit that radio football phone ins are not the place for the optimistic fan, the Norwich ones on the local radio station usually start with "I didn't go today, but..." or "I've been going to watch city for 150 years, and that was the worse performance I've ever seen..." Big Grin

I think those people who say "£they've been goign for 35 years etc" are tring to sound important as if their view is more valid.

It's amazing how many people who have been going for 35+ years have just seen their 'worst performance ever'. It seems to me like some see their 'worst game in over 35 years' about every five weeks, according to the phone ins.

Isn't it something to do with the increased traffic on the "Big Brother - celebrity hijack" forum?
