I was so pleased when the news was Bullard would only be out for 6-8 weeks with a dislocated knee and nothing else. However it turns out Jimmy Bullard is out for 9 months with cruciate ligament damage and that is his season over.
I can't believe Jimmy will miss the rest of the season all because of a wreckless challenge from Parker. At first I thought that it was just a football incident but having seen it on numerous occasions I now think that Parker intentionally tried to hurt him. The tears were tears of guilt. This is a disgrace and I hope he gets what is coming to him. Vermin.
The match was evenly balanced before Jimmy went off- Parker and Bullard the players taking control for their teams. Parker obviously thought he would put a stop to this and decided to give him an advantage in their 'battle'. Also Bullard is competing for the same England place as Parker is, another reason to get one over Bullard.
This is the same Parker that got sent off against us last season and also in the other game did a two footed tackle. The man is a thug.
Without Bullard I fear what may happen to us, Jimmy was our main drive, our inspiration, our creativity- earning us 4 points single handedly already this season. No doubt the comeback against newcastle was partly because the players were determined to do it for Jimmy.
It is even more gutting when you think it could only be a matter of time before he would have got into the England squad- better than Jenas, Parker, Nolan and other players challenging for a place in his position. Bullard is our Lampard and infact is just as good as him!
We have lost an important player and I fear where this may lead us.
Parker had intent lol ( wake up ) , he was in tears because there friends off the pitch and it was clear there was no intent in the tackle , it was a simple acciedent.
No you wake up! Parker is a known dirty player who goes well over the top in some tackles. He was in tears because he felt so guilty, he didn't intend to end his season, but he did want to hurt him.
It is there for everyone to see! Parker is falling and all of a sudden he changes direction to make sure he fall onto Bullards outstretched leg.

Just seen it on *******. Seems you're on your own here, mate. Parker isn't a malicious player and never has been. Are you bitter towards an old boy of yours?

Sorry, just read on another thread you're a Fulham fan. But I still think you're wrong about Parker
Parker has always been a dirty player with over-the-top tackles.
Obviously he didn't want to put him out for the season but Parker wanted to shake him up a bit in an attempt to win the midfield battle. This back fired on him and his reaction was that of a man in regret.
Agree 2 disagree did u watch it, all he did was clear the ball and his momentom took him in2 bullard and his leg got caught under parkers legs , thats it , no intent

I guess we have to agree to disagree though
Nonsense, this sort of 50-50 tackle goes on all the time, it was just unfortunate that this one resulted in that injury to Bullard. Parker was completely shaken up that a fellow pro was injured in the incident and was uncertain to the extent of the injury, as it looked pretty bad.
And has anyone noticed that the worst injuries (Keane apart) result from innocuous challenges. David Busst springs to mind, and there are more. Players learn to ride and to see dirty, career finishers early, I think.
By the way, what football do you watch? Is it the English League? Are you aware of Scott Parker? One of the best players not currently in the England squad.
I watch the English League and MLS, of course I am aware of Scott Parker, he is better than the likes of Jenas and the over-rated Carrick who are currently in the England squad.
I never doubted his talent, I just said there is a nasty streak to his game, I have seen it a few times at games I have been to.
His behaviour at Charlton when Chelsea came in for him was also a disgrace
Bullard was winning that midfield battle in Newcastle and only after he was brutally injured by Parker's wreckless charge, did Parker start to dominate the match.
Parker played like a demented demon against us - the same as last season when he was sent off. He committed a two-footed lunge inside the first minute only to scream at the official.
Parker deserves the reputation as a "dirty" player and it was no coincidence a "dirty" player was to blame for Bullard's injury. Had it been a player with a "clean" reputation, then this so-called "accident" would be easier to believe.
He didn't mean to injure Bullard as much as he did, hence the remorse
Scott Parker DESTROYED Jimmy Bullard's career possibly when you see Parker in an England shirt think how the challenge helped HIM get above Jimmy in the only way he knows how, by sheer unadulterated thuggery!
No you are the idiot! Parkers reaction to the injury was a look of remorse. He meant to hurt him but his face was full of guilt when he had seen what he had done.
I know what intent means without the need for a dictionary. You do not need to have played football do recognise that Parker is a thug.

So his face was full of guilt? doesnt mean that he meant to hurt Bullard. Anyone would have felt guilty in that situation.
Sir Light, Sticks. You really have no idea what you are talking about on this, and I'm beginning to wonder if you've ever seen a game on TV or ever set foot in a ground. What you have said is absolute nonsense and not fit for a forum where sensible, common sense opinions are aired.
Go away, watch the incident carefully and without any bias, and come back with a proper answer. Idiot

haha good job I'm here to stay then I have a season ticket and have been to over 200 games. I have seen the incident numerous of times, at first I thought it was accidental however I have looked at it from a number of different angles and changed my opinion. When I thought it was accidental I listened to what others had to say, unlike you who is obviously a vile pathetic excuse for a forumer if they cannot accept opinions.
You do not know for fact that Parker did not mean it any more than I know he did mean it. Only Parker himself knows and I was just bringing up the possibility (strong one imo) that there was intent.
