Been to all of Fulham's games this season apart from one and this is without doubt the worst season for officiating I have ever seen.

Arsenal v Fulham- Every big decision was wrong in this game. Arsenal should have had a penalty early on and then when they did win a penalty, it was the wrong decision.

Fulham v Bolton- Fulham denied a clear penalty when Jaskelainen brought down Healy, should have been a red also.

Fulham v Middlesbrough- Clear goal by Healy that is somehow not recognised by the dopey linesman.

Villa v Fulham- Blatent handball by a Villa defender to deny kamara a clear goal. Poor decision by referee to stop play for a Villa free kick when if he played advantage they would have scored.

Fulham v Bolton (Carling Cup)- Fulham goal wrongly ruled offside, clear foul leading up to Bolton's winning goal.

Fulham v Man CityFulham v Man City- Fulham's winning goal offside.

Now a lot of decisions have gone against Fulham, more so than for, and I'm not trying to make excuses but they are decisions that have cost us.

Hopefully this will even itself out during the course of the season but it's a disgrace that in almost every match I have witnessed a big decision has been incorrect having a massive influence on the result.

I am getting fed up with the standard of refereeing and something has to be done. They are too protected by the FA and they should be made to come out and explain their decisions to the fans.

Is there anything that could be done to help the poor standard of todays officiating or is it something we have to accept and hope doesn't cost our club?

The pen on Toure was just outside the box but it was a definite foul. I hope you aren't going along with Sanchez saying it was a dive! As you say it evened out in that game but you wouldn't have thought that from his comments after the game where he accused us of diving for a penalty all game.

Every game you will get at least one dodgy decision. If you win though you tend to forget them.

On the subject of actual refereeing. I do agree I think it could improve. However the games are commented on by ex pros and commentators who cant even be bothered to either learn the rules or even keep current with them (there are only 11, its not rocket science). There is never any praise given to a referee post game they only look for any "mistakes", sometimes they will replay something 10 times from 5 different angles before deciding "that was a bad decision". I can see why the FA doesnt want to hang out their refs to dry every week.

When they are wrong it would be nice if the ref or FA could admit it but it would be nice to praise a referee that had a good game as well. One thing I would like changed is that how the more controversial ones tend to get promoted. Poll openly admitted giving red and yellow card in big league games to show his authority just to get picked for the world cup. It worked, this sort of blatant bad refereeing should never be allowed to work in that way.

I can't remember the name of the guy who did 'Boro v. The Mackems, but he just let them get on with it. 'Twas an exciting fast flowing game.

I never said it was a dive, just that it wasn't a penalty and a poor decision by the referee.
Sanchez apologised for accusing Hleb for diving after he saw the replays (although he did go down far too easy on one occasion).

And there are some good referees. In my opinion Howard Webb is a very capable referee who rarely gets decisions wrong (the big ones especially). I also like Clattenberg.

There are a couple of refs who love playing up to the cameras in live games and you can see they want to be centre of attention. Poll was especially bad at this.

If you want to see bad reffing and lino-ing, come down the City. Some awful decisions down here at times

Not keen on Clattenberg, he has been poor to say the least in a few of ours. I didnt realise that Sanchez had apologised so kudos to him.

Good bit in The Grauniad today about SAF putting together a dossier on Bennet.
Apparently he is not complaining about the ref in the Chelsea game though but.

This is probably a stupid question but I can't think what SAF stands for? Confused

there are certain refs i like, and ones i wouldnt particularly want reffing a liverpool game, but mike riley is the man i cant despise, his penchant for giving Man Utd penalties is farcical, his pens to game ratio is ridiculously high and he doesnt give liverpool many either, in fact turns down a few certs
