Nothing wrong with sliding tackles, its the jumping into tackles where the first point of contact is with the player and not the ground, also often with studs up.

Like Abu Diaby's challenge on saturday. Would you call that a sliding tackle or a dangerous, Martin Taylor-style challenge?

That would be interesting for him and his 'apologist' manager.

bring in the sin bin that would be a good crack, mouth off to ref or any yellow offence spend 10 mins in the naughty corner, that would clamp down on a lot of stuff going on and it would spice up every game

Well Diaby can do dodgy tackles but in this instance at the point of impact his foots studs were not vertical they were less than 45% to the ground also all his weight was on his knee that he was sliding on. Now you are pathetically trying to compare that to Taylors. Give it a rest Andy for all our sakes. As I said before if you want to go through every tackle of all our games in a season sooner or later you will find one and then desperately bring it up AGAIN. It shouldnt be too hard but try not to use the medias route as they havent a clue.

Ive seen countless tackles much worse than Diabys result in nothing this year in our games I knew this would end up hindering us.
