In the absence of a game against Milan, I also assumed it was tongue in cheek.

Lets just look at this realisticly, as any top football manager in the world, to pick any players they wanted to put together a squad, and everyone of them would pick more man u players than players from any other club in the world.
Also everyone of them would pick Ronaldo first!

And yes I do agree there are other good players in the Premiership but even the other top teams have only got 1 or 2 really good players each, Man u is packed with world class players. And supporters from other clubs would sell their souls if their team could have some of uniteds players.

And I'd say maybe only 3 other players in the premiership that might be good enough for the United sqaud.

Fabregas
Chech
Torres

I'm sorry Chris, but your last post was awful.

"everyone of them would pick more man u players than players from any other club in the world."

How could you say that everyone of them would pick more man u players? More than Real Madrid or Barcelona!?

"Also everyone of them would pick Ronaldo first!"

Not everyone. Whilst Ronaldo is a very talented player and probably is world class, a decent defender can mark him out of the game. Ronaldo played poorly when up against Gary Neville and England and when he plays against Ashley Cole, Cole always gets the better of him. Ronaldo although effective against the smaller teams has actually scored 3 goals in 28 games against Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal! He is NOT the best player in the world.

"Man u is packed with world class players. And I'd say maybe only 3 other players in the premiership that might be good enough for the United sqaud."

This statement is the biggest joke. I could probably name 30+ premiership players good enough for the man u squad.

Are you seriously saying the likes of Carrick, Vidic, Kusack, Scholes, Giggs are world class!?
You have about 3 players tops that could be classed as world class.

I thought I was bias towards Fulham but this really does take some beating.

Got to agree with everything you say FulofHam, i think most managers would pick Messi or Kaka ahead of Ronaldo, but the whole ting is a matter of opinion anyway, there is no way anyone can make a statement about who's the best. personally i'd say Carra is a far better defender than Rio and a lot of people would agree with me, but a lot wouldnt.

Ronaldo's a good player, no doubt, but not the best in the world. And you must be joking of Van Der Sars only behind Cech in the Prem, let alone the world, for me only Ronaldo would get in a Premiership best team

GK - Cech
RB - Richards
LB - Cole
CB - Toure
CB - Carragher
RM - Ronaldo
CM - Gerrard
CM - Fabregas
LM - Elano
S - Torres
S - Drogba

S - Reina
S - Terry
S - Mascherano
S - Cole
S - Berbatov

When was the last time Man Utd beat a european giant by 6 goals ?

Greatest team in history are they, would u like to compare what Man u have won with the likes of Real Madrid and AC Milan ?

Ronaldo is not worth £100m and before u say thats what Man Utd said well David Villa has a £170m buy out clause, Messi has £200m so then they are twice the player Ronaldo is by ur logic lol.

Are we talking generally or at some certain point in time?

Overall, i don't see how they are? Though let's not get into a game of 'who's got the biggest stats'..

OP "After the demolition of Newcastle, surely one one conclusion that can be drawn is man u are now the greatest team on the planet?"

LOL, I think more proof than that is needed!

It's true! I think that we established a while ago that I was several hundred million ahead of them.

But also Kaka, Ronaldinho, Henry and Eto'o would probably walk into that team

They are all very good players, especially Gerard, but when I look at the united squad I just think I would'nt swap the likes of Anderson, Nani, Giggs, Carrick, Ferdinand, Vidic or Van da sar for any of the afore mentioned players.

Also the likes of Madrid and Barcelona have great squads but I'd never swap for united's.
And Inter are currently the best team in italy and I would'nt want a single player from their team for a united player.

It must also be said that both Chelsea and Arsenal have along way to go before either could be considered a bigger club than United or Liverpool.

Out of Kaka, Ronaldinho, Henry and Eto only Kaka would be considered good enough and even then would still be a squad player.

Ronaldinho is nothing like the player he was, Henry is past it and Eto hasn't got a tenth of Roony's talent.

Chelsea certainly (they're just a Brentford with a rich owner, they don't generate enough of their own wealth), but Arsenal are up there as the biggest clubs in the country, I'd say just, but only just, ahead of Liverpool

Good grief! If you think that Kaka would be a squad player at any club he's at, you're maybe a touch delusional. Talk about sweeping statements
