Yes, I'm not in the UK and don't follow them that much.

However, this record speaks for itself. These are significant wins - 4.1 in Croatia, 3.1 in Belarus and hammering a weaker team at home.

It makes them Europe's form team and it seems that quite a few people deserve some credit for that Smile.

Capello's instilled the professionalism that was lacking under Eriksson, which was a circus under him.

You know what, I was thinking the same.

History has been quite kind to Sven because he got decent enough world cup results and his successor didn't do well.

But put him against Fabio or the management of the last four teams in Euro 2008 - Aragones, Bierhoff / Löw, Hiddinck and Turkish many whose name I've forgotten - or some top club managers and suddenly he looks fairly limited.

Man City saw through him. I don't like the bloke, he's money mad and celebrity motivated. What he did while England manager (courting clubs in order to meet his own hidden agenda) was scandalous and shame on the FA for giving in to his ludicrous demands and keeping him on. If he was in any other job, whether in football or not, he'd have been shown the door

Or his predecessors.
One of the better managers of my lifetime, but I believe that Fabio will be better.
On the other hand, if the scratter press get the chance they will have him out of a job because, the bottom line is, they don't want a foreign manager.

Proud to be subsidising, nay bailing out, people who had more money than me, even if they did waste it all on inappropriate motors, housing, and tosh.

I've worked with a few people like that over the years. They constantly want more money and continuously seek to improve their position. There is probably a greater need for this in the financial entity that is football. One has to stay in control, since one moment he could be the flavour of the day, and the next kicked out.
