I am buzzing and I don't think it's really sunk in. I am terribly hungover and it's doubtful if I've ever felt worse than I do now. I am being reminded of things that happened that I have absolutely no recollection of! I know I'll get a ticket as I'm a season ticket holder, so it's just a matter of waiting for prices and when they go on sale really.

As for Europe if we win the Cup, surely it's in the FA's best interests to give us the place as any future tournaments the FA bid on won't do them any favours if they go against UEFA

Who cares what UEFA think. You is Welsh and not affiliated to the English FA. The rules are quite clear and your club has always been aware of them. Not that it will come to that, Pompey will win in a canter.

Win at a canter, eh? You haven't seen much of us then, have you?

And you must be pretty blinkered or unknowledgable about your football current affairs and football in general if you think that UEFA haven't got a say in what happens

if you won im sure youd get the eufa place but i cant see you winning, you'll need ports playing as bad as last week and i dont see that happening, and would eufa fight hard if you did win, they wont gain much having cardiff in their competition.
after watching this seasons eufa cup drag on im suprised anyone even wants to play in it

I think we have the beating of Pompey if we play at our best. We're one of the best footballing sides in the division, probably only behind West Brom, when we're playing well. The cup final is a great leveller, so who knows what will happen on the day. Shocks have abounded in this year's competition, so there's room for one more

What's all that 'current affairs' guff got to do with the price of eggs? I simply want the English FA to stand their ground and tell Cardiff to get lost. Whatever happens after that happens.

Surely Cardiff are in the English FA. I'm pretty sure that the Welsh League, at some time in the past, wanted them to join, but they didn't.

Think it'd be a bit mean if Cardiff weren't given a place in Europe (if they beat Pompey of course.)

Anyways rules are meant to be broken now n then. Nod

Why should they? and, even if they do, UEFA has said they will give us a wild card. That's the current affairs bit and that's the current affairs bit and that's the price of eggs

My best mate, who's also a Man United fan, is also hoping for that Charity Shield too. But he wants a ticket for the final too, he came to the semi final with me and comes to at least 2 Cardiff games a season. So I reckon that, deep down, he'sa Cardiff fan. and another mate of mine, who's an Arsenal season ticket holder came to the S-F and was singing anti-Swansea songs in The Globe and Cardiff songs in the ground. Once you come to a Cardiff game and feel the atmosphere from the fans, you'll be hooked!

On Sky news...

Cardiff can play in the Uefa Cup next season if they win the FA Cup with victory over Portsmouth at Wembley.

The Football Association board have approved the Welsh club's bid to represent England in next season's tournament, should they triumph on 17th May.

Yep, hardly ever trouble down here when the major cup finals were on, apart from one or two isolated incidents, involving Man United fans mostly. so people in glass houses and all that...

Of course, they were the ones out looking for trouble and I'd never tar the many thousands of decent, law abiding United fans with that brush. Get what I mean?
