Could this be the season where Man Utd finally get back to where they rightfully belong, at the top of the league and contending for the European Cup?

It's looking very good. If we get a win against Spurs tommorrow it's looking even better.

Can't see it happening United haven't bought well enough to sustain the level for the entire season.

There seems to be almost and obsession with spending? Just because Chelsea do plenty of it, and what a whole lot of money they have wasted. We're doing fine as it is with who we currently have, minus Rooney and Scholes at the minute, even better once Rooney in particular returns.

Yes but you must spend when needed. You can't lost somebody like RVN and expect not to be weakened.
Saha's decent but he can be a bit hot and cold I doubt if he'l keep it up for the whole season. Torres would have been a great purchase and was available but United seem to be making really strange moves like paying over the odds for Carrick, chasing Hargreaves for the quoted £18mil and not buying Senna (Just as good if not better) for around £4m. Also Bayern then go out and buy Van Bommel for £4mil

Fair comment, and i agree that we should be competing in the transfer market for these big names.

If Saha stays fit he will make a good partnership with Rooney. Although Tevez and Rooney would have been better.

It's not all about the spending. I've got faith in the current team continuing to perform well enough to keep us at the top.

Lets c what happens when the play a good team ( top 4 ) and when the champions league start and players get injured how well there squad does then

Not so sure they rightfully challenge for either...they seem a long way off being ahead in either of the trophies won
