There seems to be almost and obsession with spending? Just because Chelsea do plenty of it, and what a whole lot of money they have wasted. We're doing fine as it is with who we currently have, minus Rooney and Scholes at the minute, even better once Rooney in particular returns.
Yes but you must spend when needed. You can't lost somebody like RVN and expect not to be weakened. Saha's decent but he can be a bit hot and cold I doubt if he'l keep it up for the whole season. Torres would have been a great purchase and was available but United seem to be making really strange moves like paying over the odds for Carrick, chasing Hargreaves for the quoted £18mil and not buying Senna (Just as good if not better) for around £4m. Also Bayern then go out and buy Van Bommel for £4mil

Not so sure they rightfully challenge for either...they seem a long way off being ahead in either of the trophies won
