The first punch ain't bad but then it's all very much a girl's playground fight.

Nothing beats the Andy Todd-Stan Collymore fight of a a few seasons back or the Norman Hunter-Franny Lee one.

At one point it was looking like they ma snatch a draw. Then of course there was that typically 'home team/big club dodgy penalty decision'.

O and expect sum major player movment in the summer.

Ronaldinho is unhappy at Barca and looks set to join Ronaldo and Kaka at Milan (Chelsea 2nd choice most prob)

Both Real and Barca want Lamps(8m)/Ronaldo (40m +)

Real lost again, this time to Levante (very bad).

I will b suprised if Real finish in the top 4 come june because we are playing sum of the worst football ever.
We have lost 5 of the last 8 and only scored 3 in those 8 games, Ronaldo left and was not replaced ( dont understand that ), Beckham should play because he plays with passion and madrid will need to spend loads of cash in the summer to stop this decline.

Hope Capello is not there next season.

I was gonna say, they need Beckham back. As no matter what you think of him, even when he's playing badly he's not as much of a stroller as most of the other Galacticos.

Capellos inflated ego will not help Madrid.

I watched the game scorp, I can understand the frustration. Saw a few white handkerchiefs out again.

Er, well at least Barcelona only drew. It seems no team will be running away with the title this year.

I think its only a matter of time though before Barca get a few players back and put a run together.
Sevilla are going through a rough patch, Real are not good enough and Valencia are too inconsistent. I expect the top four to be as follows come June:

Barca
Valencia
Real
Sevilla

Is he the highly-rated South American youngster?

Yes brought in by Real in the knowledge that Ronaldo would be out the door in January.

Higuain plays behind the striker and is more like a Raul not a Ronaldo.

From what I've seen of him he his a lot more similar to Ronaldo than Raul, since Ronaldo is not an out and out RVN type of either.

When Ronaldo played he would b lone striker and then RVN came in to replace him because we all knew Ronaldo was going to leave.

When Higuain plays its behind RVN where Raul or who ever is playing ( 4-2-3-1 ), even he himself has said he is more a play maker than a striker

Watched Sevilla beat Barcelona 2-1 just before. Looks like good news for Liverpool, Sevilla scored both their goals whilst a man down, then Barcelona had 2 players sent off. Then Sevilla missed 4 easy chances to seal the game in injury time, yes 4.
Barcelona must be a bit demoralised. Sevilla go top.

I'm not sure how much you can read into that one game, I could perhaps argue that Liverpool would be just as demoralised having lost to their arch rivals at home, in injury time, having dominated the game.
It seems strange but as a Barca fan I was actually quite pleased with the way the team played. If Ronaldinho hadn't missed the pen it would've been game over. And Sevilla are an amazing side. The important thing is the quality football is back and with Eto'o in the side at Anfield I can easily see Barca scoring twice, and remember a third away goal would give them a distinct advantage.

How horrible is that Fernando Gago? Three fingers on an outstretched arm catch him on the chest and he goes to ground clutching his face like a girl. Shameful.

Good to see the cheating Argie finally get booked for diving. It's just a pity it wasn't red.

I was quite impressed with Getafe, very neat and tidy and well worth a point.

There are alot of players that do what Gago did last night and i only hope they start giving red card for diving because it would soon stop then.

As for Getafe, they have been doing really well this year under Bernd Schuster and they play good football under him but he will b leaving in the summer for Real Madrid ( 90% sure ).

I'm not so sure Scorpion. I doubt even two of 'our' most hideous cheats, Ronaldo and Diouff would stoop THAT low.

What makes this case all the more sinister is that this kid is just 19(?), yet in the blink of an eye, rather than make an attempt to win the ball back he's made a conscious decision to cheat and con the referee. He's still a teenager ffs. Just think, barring injury, he's got at least another 10 years left in the game.

I shudder to think where the game's going, I really do. It's getting that bad I'm starting to yearn for the good old days when the likes of 'Chopper' Harris and old 'Bite yer legs' Hunter used to pile through the back of opponents. It might end up 5 a side, but at least the game would be honest and you'd know it was definitely a foul.

The greatest player of all time debate will continue as long as football is still being played. Myself I've always thought the levels of fitness required to compete at the highest level in the modern game give todays players the edge. But the more I see of the modern game, I seriously doubt whether revered prima donnas such as the whingeing Ronaldhino, lightweight Ronaldo, and hugely overrated Totti/Del Piero would have had the backbone and strength of character to have survived in a bygone age. I mean, 10 minutes into the 1970 Leeds V Chelsea Cup Final, or Arsenal V Leeds Cup Final of '72, and Ronaldhino would have been asking for his Mum and/or disappeared up his own a**e!

But u cant compare players from that era with players from 2day because the game has moved on, u could say if u took a player from the 70's and put him in a game now they would have no chance because of the fitness.

And about ur point with Gago and doing what he did, i have seen that about a 100 times over the last few seasons in places like Italy or Portugal and before saying u dont think diouff or ronaldo would stoop that low, well cheating is cheating now matter what form it comes in, if they dive to win a pen or go down like gago did its the same outcome.
