I thought it was going to be a joke from an American sit-com. Like so:
Shop assistant boy trying to impress girl at a party - "yeah, I've been working 24/7 recently". She replies - "oh, I heard it you were working more 4711".
7/11 is a US chain of newsagent type stores that are open from 7am to 11pm.
A lot of thought went in to my theory and all for nothing!

7/11 did have some imput originally but as I was typing the explanation, my fingers lost the will to live.
