I see that the BBC will be screening it live, although they have bottled it & put it on BBC2 to spare their blushes if nobody watches. Red Face

Will anybody be tuning in to this?

For me, absolutely not; the quality just isn't good enough.

Question:
Will you be watching the Womens World Cup?

Choices:
Yes
No
Maybe

The women's thing doesn't even deserve a thread unless we're discussing the Unibond league also.

By the way does that mean no newsnight Confused

Of course you are going to get silly scores, when the nations involved are all at different levels.
I remember going to watch England play Turkey at Wembley 20 or so years back, and being disappointed at only getting a 9-0 result. There are hardly any games England's men play where the score will get close to a comfortable half dozen now...
It might make for a more tactically based game, but not quite entertaining
As for the Germany Vs Argentina game, how many goals were stoppable for a decent male keeper? (you did watch it, right?)
And that's the biggest weakness in the women's game
As for the short shorts, and tight tops...it's about the only thing Blatter has ever said that I have agreed with him on! Something like the blokes had to wear in the 80's!

Caught the 2nd half.. quite a turn around until the equaliser which was near identical to Japan's 1st. Dodgy decision. Reckon Kelly Smith would give Alan Smith a run for his money.. Big Grin

I saw that England striker's two goals on the news!

She's brilliant! Eek

The England goalkeeper is rubbish though (I'm talking about the women's team, not Paul Robinson Razz).

Great draw they managed to get against Germany...
Had to play out of their skins for that result...
All we have to do now is beat the Argies!
