Why is this competition called the above instead of the African Nation's Cup, which it should be called? Confused

Here's a tip. When they show this tournament on TV, go down the park and watch the kids having a kick about. It will be a better standard of football played on better standard of pitches.

Harsh? Maybe, but I don't think so

For what I saw it was pretty good in parts and some cracking goals as you say.

Pitches and organisation was poor though.

Is this what the next world cup has in store for us then?

Exactly, that wass great. But some parts of even the biggest South African cities are pretty lawless. Will we be able to stop at traffic lights safely?

I read that FIFA are talking about having to play on artificial pitches...

Shouldn't your facilities be up to scratch for the World Cup without rules being broken or bent?

The world cup isnt being played in Ghana. But I am worried about the crime situation in the next world cup. It could be an absolute disaster.

But I can imagine the pitches in most African countries would be more or less the same

No not with the investment in the new stadiums there Andy you cant compare Ghana with South Africa before that let alone now.

Compare the new Soccer city stadium that will host the final with the stadium the ACoN was played in Ohene Djan Sports Stadium

I'll bow to your superior knowledge on this subject, Capt, as I have little or no knowledge of the African game other than what I have read in the papers and seen on TV. I have no real desire to, either, as I'm not a fan of the game from that part of the world.

I feel that, for every Samuel Eto'o or Didier Drogba, there is an awful player who thinks that a knee-high, career finishing tackle is par for the course and perfectly acceptable
