I'm not really surprised. His position became untenable weeks ago, but if he hadn't had such pressure heaped upon him by his chairman, would he have been able to make a better job of it? I'm not sure who's going to take charge for the rest of the season, as UEFA qualification at the very least is what their board want, and who will deliver that before Ramos takes charge next season? Even that looks as remote as ever now.
Some chairmen are idiots and the Tottenham chairman has put himself right among the elite of these by making it clear that he wanted another man in charge.

He has a bit of a mixed history. He is a good coach but will they still have Comolli buying players. He will now have to do better than 5th twice as well...

It must make your job near impossible, how can you keep discipline and respect if they all know you arent going to last past Christmas.
