well im a liverpool fan and im hopeful fernando torres comes to us! people say he hasnt proven himself and so on but the man has got class written all over him! he is an awesome talent and i hope rafa buys him at any cost! he is what we need! he is the one to replace robbie as our number 9! fingers crossed we get him! hes an exceptional talent! no matter what anyone says! what do you feel about him?
He is a very good player but he also needs to learn alot about how to b a world class striker.
If he goes to Liverpool then i think he will do well and have a good partnership with Kyut but at Liverpool he wont b a big fish in a little pond anymore
great signing but were still a bit light on the wings, i mean pennant i just dont think is good enough. i wish benitez would have got simao but now hes gone to athletico, i hope he gets quaresma or someone witha bit of quality and creation

He wont b like Morientes bcause they are diff type of players and the reason Morientes didnt fit in was because of the style Liverpool play

I wasn't comparing him with Morientes, I was just saying how I hope he isn't another flop, what with the money that was invested in Torres. But like I said before, even though I haven't really seen a lot of him (and that I have being on the international stage) I think he will do alright.
Torres doesn't have a great goalscoring record in La Liga where all conditions are suited to his game. In the Premiership, coming up against 6ft 4 of muscle in most games, I think he might shirk. We'll see.

Have to say it, but I'm pretty upbeat about our chances this season Torres, Babel, Benayoun,and Voronin, have shown to be probably some of the best aquisitions over the summer, and without having to spend silly money per player. Plus El Zhar, Idrizaj, and Lucas Leiva have also shown some great form, and for once we have some teriffic strength and depth in the squad 12 goals in the last 3 games, and none conceeded...and that's without Gerrard and Carragher!!

Liverpool looking ominous definitely. I am hoping it was more down to a poor performance from Derby. Some of the defending was in the buster keaton mould but it was a great game to watch.
Torres got me a good few points in the fantasy league too .

Didn't he have around an 80 goal in 200 or so games record over there? Not too bad a ratio for someone who isn't a natural finisher, or one who prefers to play behind a more out-and-out striker...or so I have heard!

I think you're right.
Liverpool definitely have th best chance they have ever had of doing something in the Premiership.
Rafael Benitez has quietly assembled a great squad there.

Torres has talent yer and he needs to show it but moving to liverpool was a mistake because he wont start enough with rafa's rotation.
