I'm a everton fan and i think we were cheated out of the game on saturday. We played alright but Gerrard sliped for the first penalty. The referee got a yellow card out but Gerrard said something to him then he put the yellow card in his pocket and brought out a red card which changed the game. Kuyt got only a yellow card for his lunge at Neville if that's not a red card what is? Then Lverton should have had a penalty, a Liverpool defender was all over Lescott but for Liverpool's second penalty the referee got that right but right at the end Carragher brought down Lescott but the referee said no. I just couldn't believe it when the referee said no. Any questions or views please.
i think cag got away with pulling lescott because lescott was pulling him about before it happened, as for gerrards penalty, if it wasn't given then liverpool would of felt hard done by aswell, whatever the ref did in that game he was always gonna end up refereeing the championship next week! a fair result would of been a draw and neither team would of been happy with just a point.

Yer a point would have been fair but do you think a lot of pressure is on the referee nowadays?
I support Liverpool but even so, I must say that I think the game was slightly unfair... This isnt to say that I aint happy that Liverpool won! And im not being funny or anything, but it isnt the teams fault that "they cheated"...the referee makes the decisions, Liverpool didnt call the shots so therefore they didnt directly "cheat" as everyone is putting it. xx

In a way you are right but Gerrard did chance the decision about the tackle?
but if Hibbert was the last man then it should have been a red, no matter where the foul was, so whether stevie changed it or not, it was the right decision

I know he should of been sent off but the ref pulled out a yellow first?
well that just means theh ref is wrong, why should Gerrard be blamed for correcting him, at least the correct verdict was given in the end, thats all you can hope for!!

In a way you are right but Gerrard shouldnt say nothing to the ref
by the letter of the law maybe, but if you'd been chopped down in a goalscoring position and you knew the guy who did it was the last man and you saw the ref pull a yellow card out when you know it should be red, surely its human nature to have a word

Yer your right, the ref should read the rule book again i think
i dont believe a Man Utd fan is talking about gifts from the ref....was it 8 pens in nine games Riley reffed for you he gave? And theres that magical 7 minutes injury time til you scored those two against Sheff Wednesday to win the league, the goal against Spurs Carroll threw over his line, the penalty from Rooney against Sol Campbell where he never touched him...need i go on?
