Rooney was another game so not surprised you didnt see that . The bendtner incident wasnt really commented on nor was it replayed or even mentioned. I think they were discussing how many missing united players there were once again while he had lengthy treatment afterwards so not surprised.
In that case I rather spectacularly missed your point - apologies! It would seem we agree though, once a reputation is acquired - be it legitimately or not - it's hard to shake off. Also explains why I missed the Rooney incident
