2 good buys, if you ask me. Davids looks like he's on his way to Ajax, so Nedved is an excellent replacement with at least 2 seasons left in him. And we all know what Duff can do anyway

This was meant to of been a dead deal, we were meant to of been getting Bridge and Duff, but Chelsea said they wouldnt sell Duff. We dont need Bridge now, but he would be an amazing sub(that was the reason he wouldnt come before on loan, we wouldnt gaurentee him first team football)

There is meant to be a deal between the two clubs for first choice on two players, its part of the Arnesen deal, plus Chelsea are not allowed near our players for two years.

Nedved would be a fantastic deal. Duff was really playing well before he was injured and benched.

I can see why Bridge is insistant on first team football. If he is going to sit on the bench he may as well stay at chelsea.

I would like nothing more than for Bridge at the Lane, but we have now signed defenders.

I would like Duff, Saviola, Sorin, Nedved, Torres and Bridge at the Lane, but we dont have no russian crook bankrolling us(thankfully we told him to get lost), plus i dont agree with breaking the pay structure by giving a player £70k+ a week.

Well you have got a rat on since i dared mention anything about Wenger havnt you.

Duff will be on £50k+(believed to be £60k), Saviola and Sorin will want at least that, and i would hate to be paying Torres' wages, he can write his own ticket.

There again a certain London team has been paying £80k a week to a used up y i d. Big Grin

I dont believe all this talk about paying £11m for Duff, when a paper has mentioned the fee being £6.5m + bolt ons. That sounds more like it. £11m for him when he only has one year left on his contract?

I havent got a 'rat on' at all. I am counting down the days till the first ever game at Ashburton Grove Big Grin. Are we going to do this every time? You bring up something against arsenal, i respond without insults and then you make some kind of statement like this...then we move on again till next time.

It was a genuine question since you mentioned not wanting to pay 70K+. I know spuds's wage bill is a lot less than ours. I hate to thin what we are paying Rosiky. We could pay Campbell 100K (pretty sure it was 100k) because he came on a free if you save 10 mill on a transfer you can afford an extra 50k a week over a few years. I never really liked us signing him but he hasnt really been a waste of money.

Although he would be a great signing for us, with him on the left and Lennon on the right, i dont see it coming off. Its an old story that the press have got hold of, when they said Duff was at Spurs having a physical, he was actually in Dublin

I love this part of the year, as there is loads of gossip every day, but it's a case of "pass me the salt cellar"

I like the Sky Sports gossip page, with their colour coded transfer news.

Come on Mido. Sign on the dotted line!

Good old Sky. I love the way they say "And the hype just won't die down" about a certain game/event, and then go on about it for days or put up revolving "13 days to D-day" things in the top corner. They just can't see it, can they?

I love this part of the season too. I miss the days when Arseweb reported every single rumour.

Rumours rife. Duff left training today, almost as soon as his training was started, it is said that he had to be called away on other matters, and it is said that Spurs have now doubled their other for him.

Well all that just because he left training early, it couldnt of been because he had pulled something or because of the heat could it?

Nedved staying at Juve with Del Piero, so that's the Nedved rumour scotched

We have been linked with most of the players around this closed season, the media seem to think we want everyone and they all want to come to the Lane, we have been linked with Spanish, Italian, Czech, Dutch, Brazilian, French, Argentinian, Ivory Coast, Irish, and even English players, its been madness.

I dont see Duff in a Spurs top either, apparently Duff left training with Chelsea because he has blisters on his feet, but the press are saying he had a meeting and medical with Spurs, and Spurs doubled the £11m bid that was meant to of been offered, how did they come up with that? I dont know what the offer for Duff was, but rumours between the Spurs fans put the figure more in the £7m region.

I don't think Duff is worth £22m. Even when hge wasn't injured, he was never guaranteed a regular place in the team at Chelsea, and no club is going to pay that amount for a player who was sub a fair amount of the time last season

I have just heard the news, Mourinho has said that Duff can leave Chelsea, but has refused Spurs "£5m" bid, so much for the £11m doubled to £22m we have bid for Duff, the press live in a world of their own.

Duff agent to have talks with Newcastle this morning. Duff is leaving Chelsea only because he is not promised a place in the squad, and as Spurs have the biggest midfield in the premiership, i cant see him coming here.
