I got a bit confused... I thought the fans were booing SWP being taken off rather than Crouch being put on???

I think Cole is right..people do believe what they read. A fully fit SWP would be preferable, but last night I didn't see any of his lightning runs down the flanks. Pity really, as it was a good oppotunity to show he is a better option than the golden boy

I thought SWP looked good.. its a shame he got a knock

He looked average, no reason to drop Becks on that form, I fear that his benchwarming at Chelsea is having an effect on his form.

were u watching the same game him and rooney were easily the best players

I'd rate the players as such:

Robinson - 7
Carragher - 5
Rio - 7
Tel - 7
Young - 8
J-Col - 7.5
King - 8
Lamps - 8
SWP - 7
Roon - 9
Owen - 7.5

Possibly hard on Carra but he was out of position and didn't look comfortable. SWP was average for me, our best players were Rooney, Lamps, King and Young.
