I don't understand how despite having the best coefficient and finishing 5th in the Prem last season, we have got the toughest draw of all the British clubs. makes a mockery of the seeding.

Problem with the UEFA Cup - for the UK teams - is that it contains any number of top level clubs with a vast amount of potential.
It's such a tough tournament to win. That Zenit team that hit form at the right time simply steam rollered everyone in their way.
A lot of the discards from the Champions league (like Rangers last year) and top Spanish and Italian clubs are also going to be more than a match for the (with respect) "second tier" English clubs. It's hard to see them hitting that sort of heights.
The most likely English winner of this tournament would seem to me one of the "big four", having been surprisingly dumped from the CL.
