Owen wouldn't have stayed and Sam would have signed all other players no other club wants.
Within two years Kev will have Newcastle challenging Everton as leaders of the leading pack.
So if i had a choice of Big Sams way of kicking the ball long and staying in the prem or Keegan not changing anything and going 2 take the club down, i wonder what i would pick. It will take Newcaslte about 10 years to get where Everton are now because who will want to play for Newcaslte, u have a manager who thinks he can sign the likes of Kaka and Ronaldinho, a team who dont play 2gether and a owner who has no clue

If you believe that, you'll believe in flying bears
I was told that when I bet Arsenal to win the title, Wales to win the 6 nations and Italy to win Euro 08. Let's wait and see...
What were you told? That Newcastle will be as good as Everton? Or that there are flying bears? I'm not a betting man, but of the rare bets I've put on, one thing I've learnt is never to bet on something I've been told by another individual (usually a down on his luck fellow gambler who offers a dead-cert)

As an Everton fan I can say that Newcastle are not especially worrying me at the moment. Portsmouth, City and Villa with decent managers and owners with deeper pockets than our own - yes, maybe.

I would have thought that not even West Ham are particularly worried about Newcastle though. As a Cardiff fan, I am. It'll be a 12 hour round journey to see us play up there next season

Flying bears, or something like that, when I predicted the above. If you are not a betting man then don't give an opinion on betting. There's nothing worse than someone talking about something they admit they have no interest in.

Just put up with it for the one season because Newcastle would go straight back up! Oh dear, just a thought, by that time you may have to travel just as far when Cardiff play Hartlepool in Div 1!! (With Swansea Wales' premier club!!)

What do you mean by 'U have a manager...' I don't support Newcastle. I'm just an extremely wise individual. Neither would I be worried as an Everton fan at this moment. Problem being it isn't what I said. 'Within two years.'

It took west ham more than one season to get back up and Leeds still haven't managed it. What amkes you think that Newcastle will?

I didn't say I have no interest in betting, I just don't bet very often. But I have done every now and again. And this is an open forum, so I'll comment on whatever is put in front of me cheers

You told me not to comment on anything I'm not interested in, so why go on and on about Newcastle? I, however, think you're perfectly entitled to say what you want about it on an open forum. And unless you're Dennis, are you really that wise?

Where did I state I have no interest in Newcastle? I simply said I don't support them. One word.......Swansea.

Erm, it's actually happening now! If Cardiff was that big a club how come they don't sell out every home game? Their average is only about 9k. Swansea will better that come 08-09.

Erm, because Leeds are Leeds. Newcastle are an entirely different club. Hope that helps!

Not really, both big clubs on a downward spiral. In what way are the scenarios different? I do realise that Leeds had big financial problems, but the confidence at Leeds hit the floor, something that it's also at at Newcastle at the moment

How is it happening now? when have I ever said that Cardiff are a big club? Where do you get your information that our average league attendances are 9,000 when we haven't gone that low this season? Our average is 13,560, about par with similar sized clubs as us. How do you know that Swansea will better that?

so when did I state that I have no interest in gambling? I said that I'm not a betting man, but I have had the odd flutter every now and again. You can say Swansea all you like, it really doesn't bother me. They're a division below us and their fans have second city syndrome. Who cares about them? Not me

You insinuated Cardiff are a big club because you disputed the fact that Swansea are/will be Wales' premier club.
Swansea will be in the top 20 supported clubs in Britain next season.
Cardiff rugby have a bigger following.

Not true! Forest, Leeds are higher gate and a division below. Huddersfield are equal gate. Wigan, Reading, Wolves, WBA, Preston, Burnley, Portsmouth etc etc all 'similar' sized much better support.
