You can say that again.

We're playing dreadfully but Metalist are playing out of their skins.

I thought it was done and dusted when I posted that^

Oh my word.

That game has taken years off my life.

Still, we're through, thanks largely to five players - Howard, Lescott, Pienaar, McFadden and Anichebe.

Yakubu was appalling beyond belief, couldn't trap a beachball. I'm losing faith in his signing.

I am pleased you and Bolton go through...bit lucky but it will give some players confidence to know they can battle back like that.

Good result in the end, Metalist are a good team and was a better result away than most will give credit for.

Yakubu was gash.

Glad to hear someone else crediting Metalist. We might not have played well in the first half (or the second!) but Metalist were very good, intricate pass and move football, great technique - it was like watching Arsenal at times Big Grin

I'm not even joking.

You'd be a mentalist if you thought Everton would lose to them

Good win for Everton.

Spurs and Bolton disappointing although both have had a rather eventful day off the pitch.

Bolton seem to be back towards showing the battling never say die spirit of the Big Sam era - great point and Spurs had a good away win too.

Good results all round. I wonder if Prolix has lost any more years of his life again.

To go with the ones lost on Saturday!

That is why people should not leave games early (unless its really no option) when its level or one goal in it IMHO.

I was relatively calm through this one as it happens! We were never really troubled (barring a couple of defensive errors) and 0-0 would have been a good result. Anichebe came on and completely changed the game though, Nuremberg simply couldn't cope with his pace and power, his goal was really well taken. 3 in 3 in Europe now for Big Vic. Valente impressed me slotting in at left back. Great result which almost certainly puts us through to the knock-out stages. Couldn't be happier - well, a result on Sunday might just make a difference...

Congrats to Bolton for a great away point at Bayern as well.

Anyone hear what the away attendance at Aberdeen vs Lokomotiv Moscow was? Apparently it was 6! Lol Big Grin

They just didnt know how to deal with Anichebe. I couldnt believe the defender was protesting the penalty. About as stonewall a penalty as you are ever likely to see.

Too right! Well, apart from that one at the end of the derby that Clattenburg missed...

Everton win the group!

3 wins in 3 games. On top of the world and it means we get a better draw in the knockout stages and can rest players against AZ Alkmaar in what is now a meaningless game.
