That game has taken years off my life.

Still, we're through, thanks largely to five players - Howard, Lescott, Pienaar, McFadden and Anichebe.

Yakubu was appalling beyond belief, couldn't trap a beachball. I'm losing faith in his signing.

I am pleased you and Bolton go through...bit lucky but it will give some players confidence to know they can battle back like that.

Glad to hear someone else crediting Metalist. We might not have played well in the first half (or the second!) but Metalist were very good, intricate pass and move football, great technique - it was like watching Arsenal at times

Spurs and Bolton disappointing although both have had a rather eventful day off the pitch.

Bolton seem to be back towards showing the battling never say die spirit of the Big Sam era - great point and Spurs had a good away win too.

Good results all round. I wonder if Prolix has lost any more years of his life again.

I was relatively calm through this one as it happens! We were never really troubled (barring a couple of defensive errors) and 0-0 would have been a good result. Anichebe came on and completely changed the game though, Nuremberg simply couldn't cope with his pace and power, his goal was really well taken. 3 in 3 in Europe now for Big Vic. Valente impressed me slotting in at left back. Great result which almost certainly puts us through to the knock-out stages. Couldn't be happier - well, a result on Sunday might just make a difference...

Congrats to Bolton for a great away point at Bayern as well.

They just didnt know how to deal with Anichebe. I couldnt believe the defender was protesting the penalty. About as stonewall a penalty as you are ever likely to see.
