I can only think that you have no knowledge of the football forums that have hundreds of liverpool fans only too willing to respond to your poorly disguised "banter"

On that point, i'm part of various football forums, one of which has just short of 18,000 members, a great majority of which are active members, compared to the 10 or so on here. On that particular forum the Liverpool fans have taken an absolute beating from other forum members. It's not uncommon. Us Man Utd fans also took a beating from others (fans from every single league) for the City loss. We had to sit and take it. Again, it's not uncommon. In fact it's more common on the bigger forums.

Yes its not uncommon for people to behave like that we all know that. Surely you can distinguish between windup merchants and those that just want to talk some sensible football in an adult way even criticise their own team. Or maybe you cant...

I'm not here to wind anyone up. Generally i will discuss football in a reasonable 'adult' manner. I've had plenty of chances to get digs in about various teams performances, but haven't. However, my only crimes on this occasion was to celebrate our win and yes, to gloat ever so slighty, about Liverpools lose. "Good old inconsistent Liverpool.. that's how.. made my day.." was the line i used. A good mile away from what i could have said. Plus no abuse or personal attack involved.

You did make the post count comment and that is personal. You may not intend to come across that way but you do at times and this is one of them. Can hardly blame you in some ways as you had a good weekend, others didnt have such a great time.

Heres hoping for a more successful week against the rest of Europe. I somehow doubt it from what I saw at the weekend but you never know.

I am wondering if this 39th game business might fire up our opposition even more this week.

Look hun my point is that ok you have had yopur fair share of liverpool, arsenal, chelsea whoever fans .......... but you have not had that from me so i would prefer that you treat me and the team i support with the same respect ... its good to have footy banter, i like it more then anyone else .... but for you to gloat and say how much you loved the result etc etc when replying to MY post is IMO not warranted .... its good to chat footy, but its even better to respect each other ... thats my point .... i have on several occassions now wished you all the best for your team .... all you do is just be blatanntly nasty ... its not my way Frown

Nice try the whole 'mocking other teams = not a 'true fan'... lol.. that's classic.. Banter and mocking between football fans is something thats happened since the dark ages. It's not a personal attack on yourself. I loved the fact you lost to Barnsley as i've had my fair share of stick from Liverpool fans over the years.. I've supported Man U since the early 80's - Take a look back, those weren't fun times and 'glory days'.. yet there i was, supporting them.

I could have been the bigger person and said nothing, but then there would be a queue of people to lay into me had it been United that lost.. to Barnsley.. But then you would have been the bigger person had you taken it on the chin and got over it, clearly you can't. Roll Eyes

exactly ........... Clapping Clapping Clapping its nice to come on to a forum where everyone can respect each others teams etc etc .... no need in this day and age for it to be aimed at people so personally

I hope you enjoy your gloat and it makes you have a fab monday as a result ...... each time you criticise my team i just support them more .... its always good for someone of your obvious mentality to feel good at the unhappiness of others ..... i aint that fussed a si just like a good game of footy, we do not deserve to be at the top of the prem or in any other competition this season ... arsenal and yourselves are way ahead of us at the moment .... however things will come good for us... and then some other team will have a run like we have just had ... thats footy Wink

Now hang on, that's uncalled for. In the next quote (below) you state you're 'not that fussed' yet you claim i'm taking comfort in your unhappiness? It's as black and white as - I take stick for my team and give it back. It's nothing to do with me taking comfort in other peoples unhappiness, what a stupid thing to say.

Me too, and i'll admit the comment about you being one of the crying fans that stayed behind after the game was possibly taking the banter beyond that. Call it getting caught up in the moment.

I was until this week now I am not sure just how injured the players that were left out are. if we dont get some back it isnt going to be pleasant viewing well for me anyway. Without Clichy and Sagna (If his family problems keep him out) then Kaka is going to be having a field day against us. I actually think that Ronaldos injury wont do them any harm as I was one of the people that think he was no longer the player he once was.

The FA cup isnt a priority for Benitez and he is a good cup team manager so I expect you to do a lot better. But Inter are going to be very hard to beat by any team this year though.

I just cant see it capt ..... to say we are poor at the moment is an understatement .... when i said earlier i sort of in a weird way want them to get beat ... i really do mean that ... and the reason i do is to teach rafa not to disrepect our other cups ... the fa cup should have been treated with a darn sight more then he did .... arghhhhhhhh Mad Big Grin

If that should happen, it won't cause any embarrassment to Man U or us fans, due to Arsenal being on par with Man Utd in the rankings. Unlike the embarrassment that must be ringing round the red side of Liverpool for a while.

Barnsley... Laugh Laugh

can we not mention the likes of York City and Southend then???

You can, but i've heard it all before.. Wink Which is half the reason i took the erm.. you know what out of Liverpool and Arsenal.. and also partly because the erm 'stuff' we've had to take from them... It's all banter, except sadly on this forum, to some, it's upsetting and personal..

Confused
