Campbell has a habit of running to the press with lies, he did it after stabbing his beloved Spurs in the back.

He is angry at "rumours" about his mental state, that may ruin his chances of a contract abroad, he has stated their was nothing wrong with his mental state and that is why he left Arsenal in Feb. I am not sure if he is attacking the press or Wenger and Arsenal?
So he went missing for days because he was injured? So why did Wenger say that Arsenal could not contact him and if he was injured why was he not on the treatment table?
Campbell says that he has left a lucrative contract at Arsenal to play abroad, so that must be why Arsenal have let him go, even though he still has a year left on his contract?

Now who would you believe? A judas who thinks nothing of stabbing his football family and supporters in the back, or a respected manager of a top Premiership club? I know who i believe.

My reading of that night (i am probably wrong but it makes more sense than the official story):

Keown had just rejoined the club as the new defense coach that week. I think he was either read the roit act by him and he stormed out or he was told he would be substituted and he stormed out. One thing that can be certain is that after the West Ham game our defense improved dramatically and Campbell was no longer a part of it as he was recuperating in Belgium and then 'injured'. Still got in the England team though...bizarre.

The comments on mental health harming his job prospects are a directed at the press i would imagine as nobody at the club has ever said anything like that. Just the press.

I think it was his playing that worried peopleif he was unstable, and him flying the coup just fuelled people. Wenger never said he had a mental problem, but he did say the club couldnt get hold of him. I remember Arsenal losing 3 games because of him, and the defence looked weak with him in it, the other defenders looked unsure of his ability and were covering for him at times. Campbell has now said he has 3 years left on his contract and not 1 year, which makes it look very strange that Arsenal let him go. As soon as Senderos got going Campbell was never going to be ahead of him on the team sheet, unless he was injured. Personally i think Arsenal got Campbell 2 years to late, he was amazing before that, he was still a good player when Arsenal got him though.

Campbell is also taking his coaching badges, heaven help us Big Grin
