Deco is a big blow to them, he is their schemer and playmaker. I think it will still be a tough game even though they have 2 of their best players missing. Every one of our players needs to be on top of their game for us to progress to the next round.

Portugal is going to be a very hard game, every player could cause us problems, but it is a massive boost that Deco is suspended but it could of been better as Figo should of been suspended also. Figo heatbutted a Dutch player, behind the ref's back, it was caught on camera, the ref didnt see it and FIFA would of banned him for the England game, but for some reason the ref turned, saw Van Bommel on the ground and gave Figo a yellow card, even though he didnt see it, if the ref saw it he would of had to of given a red, but now FIFA can do nothing about it, but even without Figo we would still have to play out of our skins, the question is can Sven afford to stick with out of form Lump-hard.

Yes he was, but if the ref had seen it he would of had to send him off, but as he didnt see it he shouldnt of booked him, but FIFA would of suspended him. He booked him simply because Van Bommel was on the ground and the Dutch players complained, it helps to see ref's like this, because it makes you think that "maybe" our ref's are not really that bad afterall........on second thoughts

Fotunately for Portugal the Midfield is a position where they have good cover. You could see a 5 man Midfield of: Figo, Maniche, Petit, Thiago and Ronaldo/Simao. Which is still pretty decent. I think Sven would have prefered to play the Dutch no doubt about it.
It has nothing to do with the ref's report, it was caught on camera and they would of banned him, but because the ref gave him a yellow(i wonder if he knows why he gave him the card?)FIFA cannot do anything about it, because of the double jeopordy rule. But it was mentioned that there was two butts, FIFA may be able to say that the yellow was for the first headbutt, but i cant see them doing that.

I dont know much about it, but they said yesterday that it was because it was on film and not because of the ref's report, as for talking to the linesman, when did he talk to him after the match? He certainly didnt talk to him when it happened on the pitch, apart from anything else he was surrounded by players, unless during the players screaming at him, he somehow managed to have a conversation with the linesman through his earpiece.

I cant wait till England v portugal on saturday , hopefully it will be a good match , I hope it does not go to extra if not i will miss The F1 USA GRAND PRIX QUALIFYING LIVE . But if the england game goes to extra time, I'm going to watch the football till its over and tape the repeat of the full qualifying session which is on at midnight, then watch it on the sunday morning before the race on the sunday evening. but if the england game concludes in 90 minutes i will be able to watch it all live then all the f1 qualifying live
figo can play as the headbutt incident was dealt with after the linesman saw something of it and figo was booked so cant be tried by telly. england 0 portugal 23. you read it here first.

Figo was booked for the headbutt by the ref because the linesman informed him of it.
It was up to the ref to give a red or yellow. Whichever way, Figo was still punished.
Its time for Sven to stop his love affair with Beckham, he must start him but give Lennon half an hour at least, we need speed in the team and we havnt got it at the moment.
Something that worries me is when we start defending, the whole team goes to deep and cant get the ball out. When Germany sat back for half the game yesterday, they were not deep and still had the option of getting out. We need Lennon to give us an outlet and scare their defenders, bring Walcott on if we are in front near the end.
