Why is there no thread on Spanish football and La Liga?

I was just browsing the other forums and i see there is not only one for Italian football but there is even one for French football Eek

Anyway, in La Liga, Espanol V Barca should be good derby tonight.

I'm sure that you will be able to start your own. I have had to do the same for the Bundesliga (Winter break now)
There are definitely people on here who follow the Spanish league so you should get some rapport going. Smile

LOL Talk about primetime Big Grin, probably about right for the French league though, as it seems pretty weak.

Espanyol 3-1 Barcelona.

Great game. A well deserved derby victory, should have been more.

As I recall, it was more like the Lyon show. They were covered every week.

I find Spanish football quite boring, and struggle to watch it live.

Leaders Seville suffered a shock 2-1 home defeat whilst a Beckhamless Real won 1-0 to keep their championship hopes alive.

What's on the Spanish rumour mill this week?

Jose Mourinhooooo will be the new manager of Real next season and will try and take Lampard with him. OLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Interesting stat: There are only 3 points seperating the first place side in Spain (Barca) and the 5th place team Atletico Madrid. In England the gap is double that between 1st and 2nd place with a staggering 17 points seperating Man Utd from 5th place Bolton.

Yeah, hopefully it will be a close one. Even though Seville have slipped a way a bit of late, and Real Madrid don't seem that hot i still think Barca could be beaten.

Segunda B is always exciting too with any team seemingly being able to beat any other team. Currently only 8 points seperate 4th place..... - from 18th place. Eek

Eto'o is back for barca and i hate to say it but they will win the league again this year.

If Sevilla and Valencia can build on what they have then it should b a 4 team challenge for a few seaons to come

Before the season I felt Valencia would be the biggest threat to Barca and despite being poor in the 1st half of the season have now gone on a brilliant run and will certainly be there or thereabouts come June. Sevilla appear to have run out of steam but are still good for 3rd I feel. I hope Atletico Madrid can make it into the CL for next season, the club has everything in place and it'l be great to see the likes of Torres and Kun Aguero playing at that level.

Has anyone seen the cat-fight between Real Zaragoza's Diogo and Sevilla's Luis Fabiano?

It's hilarious. It's on the MSN UK page. They just start slapping each other, with a bit of windmilling!

Real Madrid missed the chance to go top as they lost 1-0 at Villareal.

I expect Barca to start opening up the gap with a home win against Celta Vigo tomorrow.

Good to see Sevilla back to winning ways and with both Valencia and Real beaten, Barca winning its back to a the early season 2 on top.
