It would have been harsh and, possibly unprecedented (I don't have any figures to hand), if he'd been sent off for that. I'm sure if he'd had a yellow for an offence earlier in the game, he would have walked for that. But it would also have been a very pedantic ref who'd send him off for that

As I understand it the rules of football are rules not just suggestions, two yellow card offences equal a red, and how the officials missed the three Chelski players offside leading up to that 'goal' I'll never know.

Rules might be rules, but human error also creeps into games also. Besides, can 3 be offside? Under the current active/inactive rules, would all 3 have counted as active?

The player who scored the goal was offside thats all that matters or should have been IF it had been given. Some go against you, some don't. I was more annoyed at the antics of Terry not giving the ball back after our team stupidly put the ball out of play. I didnt expect us to get a result at Stamford Bridge, not many have.
