Whats up with Aloso? Whats up with the ref, more like! Cahill gets him in a headlock prior to the second goal and wrestles Alonso to the ground, and the ref waves on...
The first had a few questions over Finnan being fouled, but can't argue with the third...Reina obviously mistook Johnson's head for the ball!!

Yeah, maybe Poll has had his confidence shattered during the world cup. I just think that maybe Benitez would have been better off with starting players with pace like Pennant and Bellamy.

Today confirmed what I've suspected for a long time. Rafa has far too much faith in his own ability and the players in a squad, which bizarrely as it sounds, is too big and too good!

Some people might point to Rafas record and all the trophies he's won. The thing is he achieved those successes with nothing like the squad he has today. There might have been the odd tweak here and there, but more often than not the nucleus was the same and it was a settled side.

Pennant, Bellamy, Kewell, Gonzalez, Fowler, Crouch, Kuyt and Gerrard. 8 players fighting for 4 starting roles. I thought it might all end in tears, and while it's still early days, I fear the worst.

Theres always a different team set up for the darby game...Not so much your best players, but the most durable. Oddly enough, it was only realy Everton who were up for a fight, whereas usually both teams forget about playing a game, and just dive in at each other. The biggest, and maybe only real mistake was the set up down the left, which was too flimsy to start with

I definately saw this one as a draw. Might have even toyed with the idea of an LFC 1-0 win.
