Strength in depth? They didn't use a single substitute last night and here's why:

Subs Not Used: Howard, Park, Miller, Pique, Ebanks-Blake, Rossi, Martin.

I'm assuming the last two aren't Paulo Rossi and Lee Martin.

i think its guiseppe rossi is it?

its a thin squad with a few injuries, but i guess you take a few defenders and midfielder and striker from any squad and there's not much left, arsenal don't have the biggest either, liverpool have few defenders if they lost 3 or 4

don't know how long the players are out for though, they could struggle over the next month, though rooney should be back on saturday as he was only suspended

Heinze out for rest of season... the others should trickle back into the squad (cept Keane who the meanies at Anfield made break his bones!)

Think our strength in depth showed last night with players like Bardsley and Richardson stepping up to the plate!

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's claiming his pension, surely?

And I don't really think Bardsley and Richardson getting picked is the same as "stepping up to the plate". As for Darren Fletcher, I bet he was last to get picked every lunchtime at school.

Bardsley and Richardson

I think they both played really well, give them time to develop and they'll be good players

Heinze is going to be our biggest miss this season I think.

Thank God S.A.F. played Giggsy last night, he's been well missed. Smile

Well with those bad players on the bench they still had a good game. I believe that Howard and Park are good playres though. And i think they played much better without Rooney.

The main problem with Uni'id is Fletcher.

Park Ji Sung is fantastic - set up all 3 goals against Fulham - and his runs from midfield is just what we need. Scholes has been terrible this season and Park and Giggs should always get the nod ahead of Scholes and Fletcher. If we can somehow accommodate all of Ruud, Roon, Ronnie, Park and Giggs we're in business but I doubt it's possible. Suggestions anyone?

When in Rome, do the Romans.

i would think the only way that could work would be ruud up front with rooney off him, giggs on the left, park in the centre and ronnie on the right with keane playing deep
