For once we played the right team at the right time. It wouldn't have happened if that Thai owner hadn't messed City up. They were not bothered about playing really.

Did they look like they'd given up, Joe (if that's not an obvious question after an 8-1 hiding)? I was reading that it quite easily have been double figures, and it's not often you'd say that about a Middlesboro side

It could quite easily have been double figures.

Ok, honestly - Growing up in the north west.. being surrounded by a decent mix of Man Utd and Liverpool fans.. those Liverpool fans being the ones constantly crowing about 'how much better they are than Man Utd and everyone else'.. and the 'stick' we, as United fans, have taken, and still get, mainly from said Liverpool fans, and the lovely new ones you meet along the way.. lol... However i have to point out that in this day and age you get this from all supporters from every walk, i have also had what you mention from Man u fans - for me thats just footy, I have a good man utd fan friend who when we won CL in 2005 he brought me a bottle of champers, on sunday when you boys won the league I went out and returned the favour, I actually helped him drink it too so on sunday i put up with me bros gloating had to buy a manc fan champers drink it with him (the drinking it was fine i might add lol) and then the chelsea fans came in singing * your history, we off to moscow i did point out to them that they havent won it yet all in all a good weekend for me - NOT
