I know it's early days. But is Anderson potentially the biggest flop of the season?
He's hardly featured, and when he does play he looks well off the pace.

I wouldn't go that far.. i'll agree he's been a bit of a let down.. but plenty of others, costing a whole lot more, could easily steal that title...

i think we'd have to give him more time, he's been bought for the future, fergie said at the start of the season he and nani wouldnt play that much, cant judge him if we dont see him play

Bianchi needs to start scoring at City, as does Aliadiere at boro injury aside, i dont think Smiths done much at newcastle, nugents not been given much of a chance at portsmouth for big money, few to choose from

OK I'll let Anderson off for now. Redknapp doesn't seem to fancy Nugent at all, a month or 2 after splashing out on him.
Smith left United and then complained Fergie was playing him out of position and guess what, now he's been playing in midfield again.
Haven't watched West Ham much, has Ljunberg been playing?
I'd like to nominate Ben Haim also, he's been shockingly bad.

Aliadiere is a Championship player at best and is currently demonstrating this fact at Boro.

Anderson hasn't had much of a chance really to show his best and we may probably have to wait til next season (when Giggs leaves to play for his hometown club Big Grin) to see exactly how good he is.

Shevchenko's the biggest flop of last season and now this season. But how can any manager expect to drop him and stay in the owner's good books?

Anderson is still very young and its taken more experienced players more than a year to settle into the game over here.

Andy is right with Aliadiere, it he says fit that is. He has never impressed me except for when he played in our reserves.

From our team I would say Gallas or Mr Glass as he has now been dubbed.

Biggest flop? There can be but one winner, Yakubu @ £11.25M.

Do I win a prize?

Yak has scored 2 in 4 and set 1 up. We have no creative midfielders fit and he's played with 3 different partners. What more do you want?

I'm stuggling to see how Yakubu is a flop.

For me it would be Chris Baird. Many Southampton fans said that he was a better buy than Mr Bale and he was voted Saints' player of the year.

Out of all the players bought in during the summer I thought he would be one player to improve us a lot. However in almost every game he has cost us and is a big reason why we let in so many goals.

Are we looking at summer signings because Berbatov looks to have a touch of second season syndrome. Anyhow, his teammate Darren Bent doesn't look any great shakes either AND he cost another £5.5m on top of Yakubu....

Indeed we did, we were lucky not to concede though truth be told and the Yak didn't have his best of games after my defence of him here! Maybe he's just holding back for Thursday, yeah, that'll be it.

No! Trust me. This is usually his most productive time, then he has a dip in form after Christmas.
